If you like this kind of music you gotta discover these record lables Colemine, Black Bird, Daptone, Transister Sound, Karma Chief, and many others. There is a huge soul scene going on right now and the sound is so old school and so quality, and yet these artists also give us unique beauty in their own ways. I could put you on to Durand Jones and the Indications, Kelley Finnigan, The Sentiments, Kendra Morris, and so many others. But there is an endless collection of such amazing artists and you gotta check them out

It's because they probably are of the newer generation that likes the mainstream shitty music out these dias & don't appreciate the older music from yesteryear although there is some good songs by some newer mainstream artists like The Weekend I like some of his jams he has a good voice. Also there is the newer generation that appreciates vintage stuff like Music & Fashion that's helped it make a comeback there's a lot of them. I noticed with out people Chicanos & other American Latinos they are a big part of that movement in the Southwest but it's a lot of people regardless of Race in general.

Knowing that there's a bunch of groups keeping the 50's / 60's soul alive makes me so happy. This music touches my soul so bad. And they record as they used in the old days. That's why I got confused the first time i heard Thee Sinseers for example. I though "wait a minute! who are these?" And to my surprise their music is contemporary. There's hope.

Verse 1] Well I've been seeing you around, baby Far too many times, baby Holding hands with what's his name You know I never really cared for what's his name You know I've tried to see through the heartache Nothing seems to shine my way [Pre-Chorus] So don't try to tell me That it's alright And don't try to warm me About a broken heart [Verse 2] Well I've been trying to say those simple Words to you Oh, those very simple little words to you Goodbye, baby, goodbye this time for good But I can't seem to find a way of telling you [Chorus] So don't try to tell me That it's alright And don't try to warm me About the world I already know, oh

Joey, you are truly a jack of all trades and master of all. Your videos led to my discovery of Chicano soul music and introduces me to many other artists. It started with you, Bro, and I am grateful for it. Your vocal ability is more than most can only dream of, then you add your other skills, yeah, thanks for the joy you bring, man...
