Amen. This old melody links me to my great-grandmother who loved it, too. I was blessed to know 4 generations of my family and shared music connects us together over the years, even to those that have passed. Music to me can have deeply-felt connections to certain people. I'm researching this song as I have a terminal illness and would like to record 3 song for my celebration of life. I can sing but Carrie underwood is a bit outta my range. The minute I heard this version I knew this is the one. Funny thing is. As my health and hope declined. I had suicidal thoughts tho I am Christian. My doctor kept telling me about a music channel he listened to and I thought yeah I look it up, never did. ( I am a KZbin junkie, as my eye sight is on and off) I cried as I went to save the song. It was Gaither music he wrote down for me to go to, he said you've changed his life. He tried to introduce us, but I found you through God. I have been listening to videos for hours, I've seen Gaither music and This is what he was talking about what are the chances, I browsed I saw Carrie underwood sing Jesus lives ( or he lives) so beautiful! But what a coincidence that the version of how great tho art that I finally head and knew it was perfect pitch and all for me! I happened to look when saving at it is from Gaither music? I found you 2 years after he first mentioned you and 2 months since he wrote it down. This is unbelievable!! 😢😭💖!! Unbelievable how this happened. God works in mysterious ways 🙏🙌.
