Here is a little insight into what Joey the Kelpie loves to do most. Chase the Quad bike, jump, supervise Bunnings shopping trips, play with Kitty Rose and after a long day of hard work... sleep. Did we mention she loves to jump.

Joey was my introduction to Kelpies. I have come to love the breed and especially Joey. She is the sweetest smart girl ever. She truly loves Luke so much you can truly see it. Loved watching her go to Bunnings with Luke and the kids. You could tell she took the job serious. She only really played with Cutie Pie until Miss Kitty Rose came along. Joey and Kitty Rose have the best relationship. Kitty Rose thinks Joey is a cat and Joey thinks Kitty Rose is a Kelpie. A relationship made in heaven. This video really shows you what her breed needs which is a job and a lot of exercise. Hopefully, when people see how wonderful Joey is they will realize it takes alot of work and energy to keep up with this breed.. People need to take that into consideration before getting a dog to see if it fits into your life style before they adopt or buy a dog. That way we might see less dogs that get turned loose or taken to shelters. Because dogs like Joey deserve the best homes ever.

Don't think I've ever seen a kelpie here in England, and over here in UK, kelpie is a mythical (Scots) horselike animal! So Joey was new; so incredibly fast, great jumper, tree climber, and now cat-wrangler! She is so focused on her task, with those amazing coloured eyes. And, once again, superb music choice, Ben!

Yep from a dog that was never still when she first come to the farm she learned maybe the greatest lesson, to understand she was safe. She could trust all the people in her life and that she was never going to be intentionally hurt ever again. I have never been without a rescue dog in all my 55 years, and to me that is the most important thing for them to learn. So watching Nevaeh get in that car and just melt into the back seat said it all. I must admit though, selfishly I didn't love seeing her go. I really miss seeing her fearlessly, totally obliterate every single game and activity at the farm. IMO she easily out did all the dogs at the farm even the big boys. Then Even though Nevaeh is a totally different breed to Joey her personality is very much the same. They are both super achiever's.

While growing up as a kid we always had 3 working kelpies. Dad would breed a litter once a year to train as working dogs and sell them to other stockmen. We had Whiskey, Midge and Shep as our own. Shep was a two-coloured eye dog, one blue, one brown.

When I watch Luke sometimes he always reminds me of a proud dad watching his kids, like right now watching Joey jump on the tramp, and he is so proud of her when she runs so fast he cant beat her.
