@anti-ethniccleansing4653 жыл бұрын
Joey you recited a false fact. You said that 200 years ago the average person would live to age 40 when the other guy you were debating said that perhaps they lived to 60 on average. People are misrepresenting the facts when they say that the average adult died young back then… The main difference between then and now is the infant and child mortality rate. That’s what plays a huge issue in the statistics. If a child makes it to a certain age, then the likelihood that they were going to have a nice long life was great. But you can imagine that if people were losing their babies/children often (especially babies, because childbirth has always been a dangerous event, which our modern hospitals have done a great job in saving the babies in problematic pregnancies), then that is going to drastically bring down the age of life expectancy statistic, which completely misrepresents the fact that adults were living to an old age all the time back then.

Irrespective of either of the 2 interviewee’s behaviour, they now know a little bit more about being vegan and the justifications behind it which is all we need right now. Hopefully they went home and did a little extra digging themselves. Thanks for spreading the word, as per always, Joey.

Bet “fish boy” wishes he’d put a little bit more thought into his decision before buying and dumping that dead fish - was feeling so smug and clever til confronted with the facts, which he couldn’t even deny, and at that moment probably felt even more stupid than he looked leaving that salmon on joeys table and running away. Handled perfectly, Joey 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Fish boy said he doesn't feel like anyone should tell you what to eat, he's only sitting there with a sign, is fishboy going to say the same to the restaurants with posters on the windows? 😂

Joey, I think the point he was trying to make was that B12 cames from animals. You should have said B12 occurs in the soil thats where our ancestors got it from.
@dragonskylords90323 жыл бұрын
B12 doesn't come from animals. It's found in the same plant foods as other B vitamins like lentils & dark leafy greens. There's no "separate" B vitamins, which is why the group is called B complex.
@randomdude36463 жыл бұрын
Joey was implying in factory farms, the water and food sources are "sterilized" so there is no natural B12. It has to be supplemented... Remember B12 is produced by bacteria.
@chrismcgowan51803 жыл бұрын
@@randomdude3646 totally agree both were not on the same page. This guy was 'trying' to make the point that a vegan diet is incomplete as vegans have to supplement B12. He thought it was impossible for a human to be a vegan in the past when there were no supplements. Setting him straight on that point would have made the convo easier
@plantsforlife11203 жыл бұрын
Joey is very aware of that. He just used another point for the argument and I am sure he doesn’t always construct his arguments perfectly. Nonetheless, he is an exceptional activist!

He's no too intelligent that guy. 50 years old with the hat backwards and skater clothes. Nothing wrong with skaters but this guy just never grew up. Nice little earing he has too. Man child they're called. Very likely stuck at a dead end job too. Amazing what you can tell about MOST people just but their demeanor and clothing.

The masses are deceived into believing we have to consume animals to survive, excuses of vitamins, protein and saturated fat etc. Fish Boy didn’t have an answer for it and soon retreated. It’s good to see people actually understanding what Joey is trying to explain to them. Keep up the great work.

I know meateaters that are B12 deficient. Meateaters and vegans both can be B12 deficient. Same thing in any other nutrient.

I've yet to meet anyone actually B12 deficient, especially vegans who eat a good WFPB with lots of leafy greens & lentils. I think it is a supplement racket that uses fear to target vegans.
@ONeill013 жыл бұрын
@@dragonskylords9032 Your body stores B12, you would not know if you have deficiency until your stores are depleted, and as we age our absorption of B12 decreases. I know my gf's father takes a B12 supplemented as he was getting B12 deficient as a meat eater
@jamesg31053 жыл бұрын
Anecdote, but I was B12 deficient before going vegan. Calorie count was fine, thought I was eating balanced. Think a bit of self education via going vegan and getting a variery of wholefoods in helped a lot. Replaced animal products with tons more variety of good foods. I take a multivit sometimes if I haven't eaten well in the day, but I obviously needed it as a non-vegan too. Probably moreso.

@@ONeill01 B12 deficient according to what test? There's no valid test to detect such a thing. The "symptoms" could indicate 30 different illnesses. And I'm sure my "stores" are depleted never taking a supplement and vegan since mid-1990s, and eat no "fortified" food either.

@@jamesg3105 Deficient according to what? Those tests are total misdiagnoses. You're taking toxic multivitamins made of chemicals your body can't absorb. Just eat plenty of lentils and dark leafy greens, loaded with B complex.
