This woman was such perfection as far as a role model for pop stars - she was so unrecognized in my opinion for her true value.

Я ещё не слышал чтобы кто-то спел лучше чем она.И прожила она пусть трудную но по-своему прекрасную жизнь.Надеюсь она слышит нас Лора ты лучшая,мы тебя любим.

I never heard that Ms. Branigan ever got into the razzledazzle/wild parties/booze & drug scene. She steered clear of all that madness. Three cheers !!! America lost a splendidly talented singer and performer when she died.

She knew her voice was amazing and she probably didn’t want to mess it up with all that junk.

Her husband was a country fan. One of my favorite songs of hers is "Lucky", the only Country song she did other than the Patty Loveless cover

She did a demo early on called Love Me Tonight, was was kinda country. Very cool song.

@Joeydec21 one could argue "all night with me" was country flavored as well

@@MeadeFatLoss Well country was much more country sounding in the 80s when this cme out, but it does have a country flair to it. She def was not leaning towards country music though.

@@Joeydec21 it depends on what kind of country music you're talking about. Juice Newton was considered "new wave" style country music- and hers was not the twangy kind. It wouldn't have been a stretch for her to go in that direction. They also had a lot of "Urban Cowboy" and stuff. I think "Lucky" was definitely Country. It was one of my favorite songs of hers when I was 3 years old.

Hermosa mujer, posiblemente la mejor cantante de los 80's junto a Whitney Houston, tenía una gran y estupenda voz. "The Lucky One" es un Súper Hit para toda la vida.... Maravillosa Artista.

Hartman is incorrect. Gloria was not the "number one song in our country for months." It hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in Nov. 1982, on the charts for a total of 36 weeks.

This interviewer is seriously talking down to her. These questions are back handed. How did YOU of all people become famous. So you sang a song that was a hit in Italy… your husband is 14 years older than you… so odd.
