I bought cheap linoleum that looks like hardwood to protect my actual hardwood. It’s much easier to disinfect and clean from all things puppies What cleaner do you use to clean their pen? I’ve recently discovered Force of Nature. It’s supposedly as strong as bleach but made from vinegar and water so it’s safer

Great to see mom enjoying the fresh air and wanting to play, couldn't ask for more. Happy the healing is coming along nicely, I thought the little females foot might have been subjected to urine burns and that was why so little fur, hope it's heals up nicely. You might be able to seal the floor with Thompson's Waterseal Clear Multi-Surface Waterproofer ,Minwax Fast-Drying Polyurethane, Semi-Gloss, Clear, or Fixall F93403-1 Gym Seal Varnish ,just a few suggestions . I have used all 3 on varies projects with great results but my only concern would be their toe nails/claws ,don't know how well floor would hold up using either product . I think putting tile/ceramic flooring would probably be the best option in the long run!

Hey Joey, just some friendly advice but I would wear disposable gloves so that any bacteria on your hands doesn’t transfer to the pups wounds. And always wash your hands before and after cleaning a wound. Love you🩵

You could get lino the size of the room and not stick it down but it is still one big water proof mat? You need to make sure that you order it slightly bigger than the dimensions and then just cut it to size with a Stanley knife.

You need to tile the floor in the room or use a cheap plastic laminate on the floor like a for a bathroom or kitchen. That would save your floors.

Epoxy flooring like for a workshop or garage floor would be waterproof and its not that expensive to get done. You can have it done ontop of your hardwood floors. Just like tile would leave your floors slick.

Laminate sheet flooring is waterproof.. you get get it at lowes, home depot etc! Because its one giant roll of laminate there is no cracks and you can lay it over current flooring!

Just buy a pool liner big enough to cover the floor and go up the wall about a foot. A 20ft piece is about $200. You can attach the plastic to the walls with a piece of trim.

For the floors, as something temporary, you can get puzzle piece yoga pads from 5 Below. I hot them for the floor in my son's room. My dog has had a few accidents on them, but you only have to pick up the pieces with mess on them. Still might cost a bit for a room that big, but definitely much less than a full renovation.

at the shelter I use to work at they cat roaming rooms had a vinyl that wrapped a few inches up the wall for a floor in the cat roaming rooms that made them water proof so you could easily mop the floors, if need be to spray them down with water to sanitize the floors, I am sure it would not be 10k to put down a sheet of stick on vinyl on the flooring.

Maybe think about getting some lino for the floor (not sure what you guys call it over there). I’m sure you can just buy sections or cut offs from a hardware store? You can literally just place it on the floor like a mat where you need it. Or get a massive piece to cover as much as you can. No need for installation just lay it out.

I’m seeing everyone give food related name so for a different option, you could name them after flowers! The mom can be milkweed (nickname milky) and the baby’s can be other flowers like Rose, daisy, or something else. I hope you like suggestion :)
