They are so cute! Those little "hissing" sounds are normal. Like you said, they can't see or hear yet, but they know some stranger is near. It's the baby version of hissing. Lol. Edit: I want that polkadot girl so bad. Cute little cow-kitty!

Yep that's hissing, they can maybe smell you but cant hear yet until their ears open and are obviously still blind. So that's them saying they are scared of you/don't recognize you 😍😍

for anyone wondering, here is joey's animal list (in time order): - Wolf (male husky, rescued from craigslist (?) as puppy) - Storm (male husky, white, adopted from a rescue as puppy, lives w Daniel) - Lark (female husky/german shepherd mix, adopted from a rescue as puppy (?), lives w Daniel) - Lark had babies (accident at doggy daycare)! seven of them (Red, Teal, Lavender, Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue) - Moon (male husky, kept one of lark's babies-Teal) - Shadow (male husky, J&D tried to keep Lark's baby Red, but Moon & Shadow struggled with littermate syndrome so Shadow was rehomed like the others) - Sakura (black female pregnant rescue cat) (kept her) - Sakura's kittens, the zodiac litter (Gemini, Taurus, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) - Azula (female foster cat, was pregnant but lost the litter) - Hen (foster mama from junkyard) - junkyard pups (Duck, Goose, Shark, Otter, Bear, Moose) - foster mama dog Roo - Roo's litter (Hare, Tiger, Bison, Panda, Raccoon, Monkey) - Daenerys (white foster mama kitty) - D's kitties, the Greek Goddess litter (Athena, Persephone, Aphrodite, Nemesis, Rhea) - took care (for a couple of days) of a mama duck and her 9 babies that wandered into his backyard and got stuck - May (foster mama husky) - May's babies, the Months litter (January, February, March, April, June, July, August, September, October, November, December) - Coco (husky foster mama pt2, false pregnancy, surrogate to Disney pups) - husky babies abandoned in box (Disney litter--Copper, Pluto, Bolt, Scar, Bruno, Darla) - Daisy (husky foster mama pt3) - Daisy's babies (flower/tree litter; Goldie, Lilly, and Daphne didn't make it; Ash, Cyprus, Oren) - Lacey (black & white foster kitty mamma) - Lacey's litter of 6 kittens *Montana/Monty (female golden retriever) is often in videos; she is Daniel's (Joey's ex) dog, but often comes to Joey doggy daycare *the babies are usually adopted by other people (other than Moon) and then renamed!

Kittens of that age are difficult to gender. It's the difference between a round (male) or vertical slit (female) genital opening. The space between the anus and genital opening is also greater in males. If you look up Kitten Lady's videos she has a video explaining (and showing) the difference. She's been a huge help through our fostering journey.

The colors of the litter can also point out there genders, I had two black females and a ginger male and as soon as they were born I knew just based off color that the girls were The only ones with color and the boys were copies of there mommas, so by going off that I’m assuming it’s four boys two girls and the blondes are the girls. Doubt I’m wrong

Sometimes the "balls" look like ball but it's just actually swollen vulva. We thought our cat was a girl at first but ended up being a boy! 😆 Best time to really check is about 5 to 7 weeks.

I wanted to say in the last video about what they looked like I wanted to tell you that the "spotted one" has a heart on its back/side if you look at a certain angle plus the mama kitty I think named "lacy?!" looks just like my kitten "Angels" mom and the "spotted one" looks a lot like my kitten "Angel"

Just so you know dry food isn’t the best for cats. It keeps them alive but it’s highly processed and doesn’t give them the nutrition they really need, which is extra important for momma to make her milk! So you may want to try switching her over to wet food

Ok so: the kittens that I have right now, when they do that weird breathing thing, their hissing… idk why but they do that sometimes, it’s so weird… the white ones in my litter do it mostly as well. I have no idea if that’s the case with you, but probably is. At 2 days old, or until. 2 weeks, they cannot see or hear. They just somehow know you’re there 😳 Edit: ok, so. Gendering kittens usually takes a while. I usually do it at about 2 weeks, maybe 3. And I’m gonna guess the white ones are boys. Sorry 😞. Ik, I’m team boy, but like, the white ones are usually boys. They look like they might be orange, and orange almost always turns out boy unless both parents are orange. In this case, we know they’re not.

Huh, more so a cream white if anything, from my experience with a double litter I would say the boys are the ones that look like mom the most as the boys only get one of the color genes and considering four look somewhat like a diluted version of the momma ima go with four boys and the cream/white ones are the girlies 🤓

And if we would like to go farther the dad was most likely a diluted cream color or diluted in general as it’s rare to get diluted babies unless one of the parents are diluted and the boys all got the diluted black that turned grey and the girls are obviously a diluted cream or maybe orange that’s so diluted they appear white so ima go with a diluted cream color is what the father had to of looked like or at least had a decent amount of diluted cream, now I could be wrong as I only looked up cat genetics for the double litter I took in because I was so impatient I had to guess what they would look like and I did instantly know the genders of my litters right when they were born but I am only basing my theory of joeys cats genders based on my own experience so I guess I could be wrong but I highly doubt it for some reason.

But, we can’t deny, they’re adorable no matter if they’re a boy, a girl, orange, black, white, gray, it doesn’t matter. Cats are just adorable. No changing my mind about that.

I know you may not be doing names right now, but you should do different spices! Ex: Basil, Thyme, Pepper, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Oregano. These are just a few ideas that I tnink. would fit the kittens well! Love your videos!!!

I think this round of kittens should be named after different types of trees. Like cedar, chesnut, willow, pine, ash (black ash), and Aspen. I'm thinking ash and aspen could be the twin boys, willow and cedar the twin girls, chesnut the one with polka dots, and pine for the last one.

A way to tell apart the gray and white twins is that the first one you pulled up has a more narrow triangle on his face, the second one had a wider triangle

I think I can tell between the two grays with the triangle white patterns. One has a more narrow white triangle than the other one. It might change as they grow 🤔

I think the kittens should be named after fabrics: Cotton & Linen for the two white ones, then maybe Leather (for the spotty cow kitten), Silk, Wool... lots of good names to pick from! Love the fostering videos!

Regarding your Pumpkin Spice Latte: it looked like all the sauce (flavor) was at the bottom. 🙃 and there is dairy in the pumpkin spice sauce flavoring. Most Starbucks seasonal flavors have dairy in them. Chestnut Praline at Christmas times doesn't.
