The cold open was the water funeral of Silco by Jinx (mirroring the funeral of Cait's mom), which is kinda poetic seeing as Silco's cold open (s1 ep 3) was all about how there's "peace in water". This is also where Silco's quote "have you had enough" originates ...

9:10 for anyone confsued viktor presumably left after seeing jayces plans for hextech weaponry which he specifically promised viktor he would stop making after killing green gas kid in season 1 if i remember right.

I disagree, i think it was more the fact he told Jayce he couldn’t destroy the hexcore and Jayce HAD TO DO IT cause viktor couldn’t then viktor full on should have died not from his illness and Jayce COMBINED him with the thing he wanted to destroy/ the thing that killed someone he cared about 🤷‍♂️

additionally, if you watch closely in 1x9, Jayce didn't realize initially that Viktor was talking about destroying the Hexcore.. but he did promise to do it, reaffirmed to Mel in S2x1. My money is on this being Jayce's "I was only trying to help" moment..

@@Offoda I agree, honestly. The duty to destroy the hexcore was overridden in his mind by the urgency to save Viktor any way he could, and the only way he could think to do it was by using the hexcore. Besides, at the time, Viktor hadn't been able to tell Jayce what the hexcore had done to Sky. I'm also putting my money on it lol. The weapon blueprints were definitely part of Viktor's decision to leave overall.

Viktor definitely came back "different". His resentment of Jayce is because 1) he used the hexcore he promised to destroy (Viktor had accepted his death by s1e9) and 2) because he saw the blueprints of the hextech weapons Jayce designed for Piltover to fight the Undercity. He probably has good intentions healing these people, but it sadly i can see it as usual backfire Arcane-style, what with the hexcore corrupting the healed

Fun fact all characters are 3D with some digigtal drawn details to make them blend in. But the backgrounds are all 2D and and and some images shown are actual real life charcoal drawings in a certain Caitlyn scene for example

did anyone else notice/think that the little girl following Jinx (Isha) is the one that threw the smoke grenade that distracted Smeech's thug when Jinx shot him in the head?

They pretty clearly indicate that, yea. The grenade gets tossed over in the direction we later see her after the smoke goes off and Jinx shoots the thug, and Jinx seems to acknowledge that Isha helped with a little finger-gun gesture.

It’s hard to think of shows which use music in the way that Arcane has. Maybe it’s the strong past of music and league of legends, but it’s so perfectly matched.

after several rewatches, it's kinda felt more like a montage to tell stories that's supposed to run multiple episodes. biggest culprit for me so far is the montage at the start of episode 3. don't get me wrong, the art and music was awesome, but they built up the team in episode 1 then all we get is just a montage. Act 1, dare i say, feels rushed. hopefully the rest of the show isn't like that

@sinixynta act1 was perfect, we only have 2 season, you want the second season to be like the first one? Alot of talking? (wich it was great) season one already build up our character now we want FIGHT

@@sinixynta I'm willing to bet the next act will be a little slower. The first act of the first season was also super dense, then the second was slower and started untangling some of the plot threads, until the third act brought them all together. They were also showing the chaos created by either a terrorist attack (Piltover cast) or a sudden power vacuum in an already tense and ruthless society (Zaun) so I think it's fair that they moved a little faster. I 100% agree we need more time with Cait's strike team, whether as a group or individually. It'll be fascinating to see how they balance the several different plots going on (Jinx/Sevika/Isha, Viktor, Cait/Vi/Mel/Ambessa, Jayce/Heimer/Ekko, and Singed), but they've done a really good job before so I'm hoping they can do it again.

Yeah, it's kinda strange a lot of people don't seem to get that, as it's quite a big part of her personality. People also associate the scream in the cold open as a "she's crazy" moment, even though it's a very human response to loss, grief and feeling helpless. Most people sympathize with her as she comes out of the arcade and cries and shouts, but few seem to realize it's mainly because she just saw Vi as an enforcer for the first time ...

Btw that green stuff, the liquid i mean, is called chemtech liquid (chemtech being an organization). It's zaun's version of hextech and was there before shimmer. Hope this helps! :]

I mean, Cait is fueled by pure rage right now, and it also seemed like the glitchy hextech affected Sevika's scars in some way, at least the ones created by Jinx's monkey bomb way back in the first season. Cait was holding the gun too but it didn't harm her the same way it did Sevika.
