i think it comes down to people being afraid of walking outside their comfort zones and failing to experience things for what they are, but rather what they THINK they are or what they've been told they are. It's one of the great barriers in an individuals mind.

Really? I didn't really like the ending solo honestly. It sounded like noodling. I wish they would've brought in a solo after the bridge over the chords to the chorus. It would've been so 80's and awesome.

Its pretty good for rythm. For leads it just lacks a lot of sustain. Its hard to make the notes sing. Like for tapping and legatos you really gotta use power to make sound come out. I've tried to tweak it, but i guess Jason likes it that way. Overall i got it for 20 bucks when it was on sale and for that price its amazing.

Painkiller488 X it’s in G actually hahah
@jmhadahorse3 жыл бұрын
I use a 7 string Les Paul tuned to F# standard, but I have my guitar properly intonated with the correct gauges of string to keep them from ringing sharp. Scale length controls your point of intonation, string gauge controls tension. Shorter scale lengths/small points of intonation and loose string tension means you’re more likely to have strings immediately ringing sharp with less force applied, which will make your sound muddier. The correct string gauges and MOST IMPORTANTLY a trained, steady hand and good muscle memory from proper practice can do wonders. Longer Scale length means you have larger points of intonation and have much more lenience operating with less string tension.

in all honesty, I already know I love this song and good ol' JR, but I really wanted to appreciate the tone and performance here, which was pretty difficult, considering it wasn't easy to separate from the rest of the track. I kinda wish the guitar was louder in the mix since its the highlight of the video. still love it tho, much love for Sturgis and the gorgeous tone 👌👏

yeah it is, what I was saying is that despite this being mixed really well (I mean obviously, I love Taylor and Joey, whichever one mixed it) it's just that I wish it was mixed more towards emphasizing the live guitar so I can dig the tone more. But I already know that this package is a fuckin steal, and once I get the cash to spare imma buy the shit out of it lmao.

I always find that when someone gets those awseome tones with just the plugin and "no post processing" very hard to believe after seeing all the studio gear behind him, I have owned most of the available plugins and its very hard to get that tone by plugin just straight into the audio interface, daw and plugin, I would like to see someone demo that from scratch and no other plugins used and see if they can get that awesome tone that way.
@lucyferina7 жыл бұрын
I guess I have never to this day have seen anyone demo the plugin with unedited video of the signal chain and the tone setup up to that magic tone. I would love if you do that with a simple interface, a daw and the plugin. I I have a focusrite scartett I4 , a windows laptop with enough power to open multiple plugins and not even notice it, and Reaper as the daw. if you can demo with a similar setup with no other post production then lets see it.

i wish they would release only a raw guitar track or two with raw drums and watch him actually jam for real. This obviously pre-recorded since he switches to clean guitars so quick. @DennisMartenssonOfficial7 жыл бұрын
Patch changes are easy to do real time when working with VST plugins. Just automate some MIDI signals in there and you don't have to worry about it. I think that Jason recorded one track live, then dubbed the other - Then some light editing and mixing/mastering. Because of course they would - They wanna show their product in the best light possible. And this sort of thing is indicative of how the plugin will sound like in a finished production, why show it some other way? You need to keep in mind that this is more of an ad for the plugin than an actual guitar playthroughs - There are more "raw" playthroughs of this song elsewhere on the internet.
