Thank you so much! I bought my Odin 2 and it came in just a wee after all this happened, so now it’s harder for me to configure some things since it’s not as simple as going to the play store anymore. I just tested a ps2 game, I thought it was broken and nether couldn’t read the bios file anymore, but this tip fixed it. And I’m dumb, so your pictures were perfect. Easier to understand than how some write things out on Reddit. You’re the best.

Quick question; say that most of my PS2 rom files are USA version, however I decided to download the EU region rom of Harry Potter 1 (because I want the correct "philosophers stone" title, not "sorcerers stone")... when emulating on nethersx2, do I need both the USA and EU bios files, or will the USA file be enough to run them all? Also same question for ps1 files when most of my roms are USA and I want to run the EU version of Harry Potter 1 on ps1?

This tutorial made converting from Aether to Nether super easy. It literally took less than five minutes and I was up and running. I used the section "Nether SX2 Current - Android" because I don't have a PC at home and it's the middle of the night. Thank you for taking the time to show both methods. I'm not sure if Nether Current actually runs better than Aether 4248 or if it's a placebo effect; but, it seemed like thermal throttling took quite a bit longer to rear its head with Nether. I played UK vs. Ole Miss in "College Hoops 2K5" after installation to test it out. I usually start getting throttling around half time with Aether; but, Nether held out until almost the end of the matchup. It could be a good sign or it could've been just a fluke. We'll see in time, I guess.

what about usding obtainium to patch aesthersx2. Im using nethersx2-patch but i still see adds on the bottom bar during game select. I also dont see a red cube its still a blue cube but says Im using the nether sx2 patch. Is this right?

Nope, you're still using Aether. And can't use obtainium for Nether.

The 2S isn't great for PS2, but you can choose either version, just go with current.

Does Neithersx2 current perform better than Aethersx2 4248? I am currently running Aethersx2 4248, do I need to upgrade or should I?

Honestly, it's kind of a mess. Users report all sorts of things, and I haven't done any deep tests because well, I don't feel like it. If you wanted frontend support, I would do the upgrade. I can't envision anything really breaking game wise doing that move.

@@JoeysRetroHandhelds i found AetherSX2 have fps is better than PCSX2 because the last one have laggy and back fps pictures sometimes you can test it on PCSX2 fps 2/4 and you will find the back move for characters when you use fps

It's like Chikii app I feel this app NetherSX2 like an emulator on PC and with screen mirroring on my device so when I use analog or any buttons the character of game walk or do action after 1ms or 2ms I feel they are not here and so far from me lol . AetherSX2 is better in this . 2 - there are no memories or textures, save states or load states , etc . You weren't supposed to check that box. I showed right after how to make sure that Aether is completely deleted, you need to check the Android/Data section for it.

Edit: I am using Poco F5 just disable the Mi Protect stuff when installing, and it will be NetherSX2, not ArtherSX2. The install protection tends to disable patched apk. Bro, the performance of NetherSX2 current is insane. Now I can NFSU2 up to 3x res without a single stutter. Thanks bro you just made my day

Yeah I was gonna ask, if I have a working copy of aether and most my game library copied over, is there any risk in staying put? Also Does simply connecting to wifi put my copy of aether at risk?

​@@loyandrus821- It shouldn't put it at risk. Google only ever uses Play Protect to remove apps off of devices if it's been determined that the app has spyware/malware built-in. Otherwise Google will leave it alone.
