Johan and Knapre's second meeting

I filmed the second meeting between my new guinea pig Johan and my sow Knapre. Watch to see their interactions. Johan is a neutered boar and Knapre is neutered too. No music, so that you get to hear the pig’s own sounds.

Guinea pig bonding takes time and patience just needs some space and get know each other thats how naturally works

@@GuineaPigClayton1445 After this video was filmed I believed that we were on the right track, but the next meeting between Knapre and Johan did not end well 🙁 They got into a fight and Knapre got hurt. Well that’s water under the bridge now.

This is a precious video! You filmed them so well! Knapre is a tough girl! Knapre must be the original leader in the herd? Laika complained about the tension between Knapre and Johan in the end--so cute and subtle! Thank you for this very wonderful documentary video!🙏🙏🙏

@@Piggy-Vlog Thank you so much for kind words! We’ve seen Mango as the top pig for a long time now. She gets what she wants in a calm non-violent way. She just exudes so much confidence and top-pigness. I believe Knapre’s aggression might come from fear. It’s super interesting to watch them and try to understand their behavior! Of course I’m not sure that I have interpreted it correctly. I’m no expert in piggy behavior.

My goodness, poor little guy, I feel bad for him 😥. Johan had to get accepted by the most reluctant Miss Knapre. When she eats, most of the time, I have the impression that she takes out her anger on the food. Especially at the end, when Johan has taken refuge behind Laïka, we can see that Knapre is watching him out of the corner of her eye. It was difficult for Knapre, of course, but it was even harder for your little guy, and I imagine how distressing these moments were for you! Fortunately, Knapre finally let herself be seduced by Johan. He is so handsome, sweet and kind that he is irresistible 😅💖

Do you mind me asking which part of the world piglypaws is from? It was the unusual names which piqued my curiosity, otherwise i wouldn't have asked. I'm in North Devon, UK, which I guess you already know? If you prefer not to answer that, then fair enough!

@@PigCorner I don’t mind at all! 😊 Me and the pigs live in Sweden. I do understand that my pigs names sounds peculiar for people from other countries. 😊

@piglypaws Goteborg was where I joined my very first ship in my seafaring days. Nowadays I only visit Sweden in my flight simulator - Landvetter, Arlanda and Sturup. I didn't mean peculiar exactly, just unusual. I figured it was unlikely to be UK, but couldn't work out where!
