The sublime control and one of his utmost explosive accelerations somewhere in the middle with that easyness. He takes the ball out of the air a couple of times with his feet , he is almost perfectly two footed, and it is immediately glued in control. The vision in passing. The speed in thinking. The variety in footwork, ballwork, direction. The close ball control and first touch beautiful but functional. He is the best of south american football and european football in one player. As i have seen many videos multiple times and i grow my admiration grows. He did it in every bloody match he played. Football brilliance and souplesse. Is he not the most interesting player if not the best ever. What charisma he had. Never words enough for cruyff said raphaep vd vaart when cruyff died. Cruyff is another dimension of playing in every aspect. And in pure talent and intellect. League of his own. Boy and meastro. An elegant predator. Wow. Electrifying. You were always on the edge of your seat with cruyff. He always suprised. Magnificent.

Incroyable ce match. J'avais ce souvenir de 8 à 0 avec une défense gruyère et un gardien aux fraises quand on revoit les buts. Mais à la vision de ce montage sur Cruyff, on se dit qu'ils auraient pu au minimum en mettre 4. Un maestro vu le score, mais pas bien entouré ce jour-là.

Di Stéfano was the most revolutionary ever. Modern times in football began with him, and even Cruyff said that it was a revelation for him when he saw Di Stéfano playing when he was a teenager, as a ball boy, in the game Real Madrid v. Benfica (European Cup Final, Amsterdam, 1962)

All the things you mentioned were invented before Cruyff. What you call tiki taka was played by argentinians and hungarians in the late 40’s. The first total footballer was Di Stefano, as he was an All around player, and the false 9 also existed in San Lorenzo de Almagro with Pontoni and with Hungary with Hidegkuti

That game was the most embarrising game I have seen in my life. Bayern munich won with I believe 0-6 or 0-8 and did not gave any credits to CRUYFF despite it was the farewell game from him.
