Love JB Bach’s suites. Shame the rest of his stuff is lost… Fun fact it was JS Bach who copied one of his suites (D major one), its the one that remains as source. He also drew heavily from for his own orchestral suites🤩❤️

I doubt that JS Bach "drew heavily" from JB Bach. The composer who comes to mind when I hear this JB Bach orchestral suite is Telemann, not JS Bach, and when I hear JS Bach's orchestral suites, I am not in the least reminded of Telemann or JB Bach.

If you refer to „this“ suite to the G minor suite then yes, definitely, but it‘s also the only one that stands out of JB Bach‘s with a solo violin, something often found in Telemann‘s suites. I referred to the D major suite, which as mentioned was copied by JS Bach himself. Especially the G major suite has some parallels (listen to the gigue). 🎉 Also the way the BC is employed has similarities.

Ya es una constante. Si se apellida Bach, suena muy bien.
