Jean Baptiste Lully 's influence is evident. Lovely percussion effect. I read somewhere that JS Bach highly regarded JCF Fischer, especially in keyboard works. Händel as well. Thrilling.

His work here seems to be influentual to Lully .It reminds me of him his works which I love very much.I have always loved baroque music.In 1968 I bought my first baroque record iseventeen years old and it was the Four seasons by Vivaldi.I loved it with the music setting Winter,Spring,Summer and Autumn in a glorious way.

From 2:18 you can hear the Marche pour le régiment de Saintonge. Not sure if he composed it himself or used it from the march's composer (who is unknown to me). It is possible Lully or Philidor composed it.

However did Meister Fischer survive to 90 years of age at a time when Bach at 65 was considered a very old man? I know there are a handful of composers who lived into their 80s but this was as unusual then as was the recently deceased Francis Jackson, organist, who died at 103.
