I was going to write the same. This video came as a suggestion in my KZbin channel and I couldn't be happier. I have been a classical music professional for 20 years and never heard of Quantz. I'm fascinated by his compositions.. It's incredibly beautiful and aristocratic. I've already listened twice in a road.

Hello my Shinichi..I missed you very much..Now we are all watching Aghata Christy movies "They are old movies but beautiful and mysterious, we are all gathered together trying to deal with the impression received today, distract ourselves a little!, so to speak.The gentlemen drink a soft wine!, and no one wants to touch on the topic that happened anymore!...much better later!...you can hear the crazy wind! Suddenly, I think and think about all the birds that were left without emigrating, but I ordered several safe wooden houses to be placed by the dense and strongly secured trees this time! and I feel better!My "Owl" is also protected, inside his slightly larger house!My beloved Dark, he is protected and warm, because he has his own heating in his place!Always before we all lock ourselves in my bedroom, I always go to see him and he is lying down resting, I talk to him and kiss him goodnight!The foreman has inside a comfortable room with hot-cold heating.And take care of everything there!And what are you doing today?....And bon appetit!📽🎞🌬🌬🌬🌬🌬

As a (secrete) teacher of the King, Frederic II, Quantz could be underrated, as too often about aristocracy's teachers. Of course, Quantz id s not the top genius of his time, but the melodic, harmonic and above all architectural qualities of his music are by no ways to be neglected and deserve a careful hearing, both in melodic details and in overarching structure. In addition, even at that time, soloists were commonly interverted. But here, changiing the flute to an oboe or a violin would just be a musical crime !!!!!

Some listeners still naively, honestly believe that practically nothing "worth a listen" was composed between the death of Bach and the majority of Mozart. The exquisite stylistic maturity of Quantz puts the lie to that failure of "Musical Intelligence" (as defined by Howard Gardner, perhaps). This recording ought to give any listener who prides themselves in a thing called, "musical intelligence" much to ponder. "There, I said it."
@Dom2Wan
@Dom2Wan 3 жыл бұрын
The evolution and maturity of early music performer/scholars and instrument makers is largely responsible for the growing wealth of listenable material in the past 30 years. The fact is, the number of students in later generations that were able to grow up surrounded by good performances and recordings grew, and these students had the good fortune to meet others who had grown up absorbing the style, who had bon goût. This cross fertilisation of ideas from people who grew up with early music is what made the music from the period of 'nothing worth a listen', listenable. This, in fact, is an exoneration of Gardner, with a caveat. The musical intelligence that led to greater enlightened performances of music of this particular period is dependent on its practitioners having absorbed its musical idiosyncracies from a young age, i.e., you have to be familiar with it before you even hear deeper into it.

The Berlin Cathedral www.introducingberlin.com/berlin-cathedral The first temple built on the site was a Roman Catholic church during the fifteenth century. The current building was constructed between 1894 and 1905 on the remains of a Baroque Cathedral dating from 1747, in front of the Berlin Palace. The Berlin Cathedral became the main church and burial place of the Hohenzollern dynasty and their court because of its proximity to the Palace. In 1944, a bomb fell on the dome of the temple and wrecked the inside of the building, like so many other buildings and churches in Berlin. The reconstruction of the Berlin Cathedral started in 1975, but it was long and costly, taking several decades to complete. It was finally finished in 2002.
