Beautiful. We didn't have a latin Mass but we got married when the churches still had Altar rails, we knelt down for Communion and received on the tongue. I also wore a high necked dresses with lace long sleeves. That was in 1982....

Up until 1966, I played the organ for hundreds of Tridentine Mass weddings. Each wedding so beautiful in its way: The processionals, the Gregorian Mass , Latin hymns, postludes, recessionals. Now, I play for very few weddings, as young couples have moved away from the sacrament of marriage. Sad.

Acting? No. Reverent to God is more like it. Not sure of your religious background, but if it's NO, I'm not surprised by your reaction considering the radial changes in the Catholic Church today. (Not saying all NO are bad). Peace!

That's so weird. Did the father of the bride walk his daughter down the aisle? That's a Protestant tradition. I would expect this in a novus ordo wedding, not a traditional Latin mass one.

Troll account? Nothing “weird” at all. Did you even check w/your TLM priest about the entrance rite? Current TLM nuptial entrance rite options: 1. Bride and groom process in together. 2. Bride escorted in by her father (or alternative male). 3. Another option is, skip a procession altogether.

Not so sure! In my part of the world, brides have been accompanied to the altar by their father (or, in the absence of father, elder brother) since at least 1900. Perhaps it was a protestant invention or something that was done only in predominantly English-speaking countries.
