@@MichaelaKoudelkovaFor me it's the first time I listen to it with a (truly beautiful) recorder solo. Here in Brazil I listened to the Brazilian harpsichordist and organist Edmundo Hora performing at his Truhenorgel with the first movement as you did, i.e., according to the 35th cantata first part introduction, while the second movement he plays the Adagio and dolce from BWV 527 and concludes with the second part introduction of the forementioned cantata. Greetings from a Brazilian organist.

The 1st movement sounds like harpsichord concerto fragment BWV 1056 and a Sinfonia of BWV 35, while the 2nd movement sounds like harpsichord concerto BWV 1056 and Sinfonia BWV 1056, and then the 3rd movement sounds like the other Sinfonia of BWV 35.

Technically BWV 35 comes from this. The Concerto manuscript came first with only 9 bars written from the first movement "Concerto". It was reconstructed with the two instrumental movements of BWV 35 being used with part of BWV 156 (as used in this example) used as the slow movement however a new version in E minor for Flute came about and didn't use BWV 156 but instead used the actual aria Geist und Seele wird verwirret from BWV 35 replacing the Alto with the Flute, of course. I am in love with this Concerto/Cantata so I've read a fair bit into it. Some even suggest there were likely other fragments which he used to form the Concerto. BWV 35 > BWV 1059r for me though. I need that Geist und Seele aira! The Flute reconstruction is the one I prefer but there are great movements in 35 which I miss. Still, the 3 included in the Flute Concerto are my favourites.

Forgot to mention, there is also a Keyboard Concerto version of this which uses the Gott hat alles wohlgemacht aria from BWV35 (another one of my favourite parts). This music is rich in forgotten history!

@@sgowv_ All various takes on BWV1059. BWV1059 is 8 bars long. If someone completes 1059, it becomes 1059R. Different artists have had different takes on 1059. Some just copy BWV 35, some use the original more complex rhythm. The choice of slow movement varies. As said, some use the Geist und seele... aria, some use Gott Hat Alles Wohlgemacht, some use slow movements from other pieces.

This concert does not exist in the work of J.S.Bach. This concert has been created as the reconstruction of a hypothetical concert for transverse flute from some pieces belonging to a cantata and the slow movement of a harpsichord concert.
