Cannot believe what I just heard. The last movement fuga allegro is such a full sound as if multiple instruments are playing it. The instrument takes on the magnitude of a concert piano in this!

@prepended prepended im not very sure regarding the issue you mentioned. from my personal experienced on electric guitar it does not make any note sound longer, but it does make the feel different, especially on bending as you feel more the string on your finger.

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years. I have never seen a scalloped fretboard on a classical guitar. I'll take 4. :-) I love Bach. This is a great arrangement. I love her playing. The gentleman who makes that guitar must be quite masterful as well.

This is remarkable. Smaro here creates a new sound - &, as unusual to my ear (ever in love w/ lute/vihuela/classical guitar) as I find it, she creates, somehow, a totally authentic baroque expression, I think, of Bach's intention. It would, of course, fail utterly if it were not for her masterful playing. If she "hears" this piece in this unique way, & is supported by innovative work in the instrument itself, strings, recording approach - all support her consciousness of the work, to our benefit. Experimentation for its own sake may yield nothing but useless novelty. Here Smaro & her collaborators have given us new value. We can look forward to more.
