Certainly, this waltz belongs to the best Strauss waltzes in the group of the first hundred of opus numbers. The melodies are very relaxing and full of freshness. The waltz themes such as the opening tune or 2:10 are really great, and the brilliant climax starting at 5:55 is really worth repeating.

It's surely one of his finest early waltzes. The only widely available recording of this waltz by Slovak State Philharmonic Orchestra and Alfred Walter doesn't show the full potential of this masterpiece.
