Lo thanks honey - I’m sure trained artists would have some gripes with my techniques but I try to aim my tutorials at beginner - intermediate to show folks it really is possible to achieve things with just a little practice xxx

hi, Claire! thank you for sharing such a great tutorial. you mentioned you're coloring on your practice book and that's a very smart idea..... how can i avail of that (as i managed to mess up all of my JB's coloring books)? again, thank you!

You do beautiful work. Would you consider putting your camera over your left shoulder so we can see what you're coloring. With the camera on my our right, your hand blocks the section you're coloring. We can't see what you're doing until after you lift your hand away. Thanks.

Eydie Stumpf - hi - yes - I realised this one was not a great camera angle - I make apologies for it in the tutorial description. If you look at my other tutorials they’re all at a better camera angle - I must have been having a bad day with the dahlias!! 😄

Claire, you do beautiful work. I took a break from coloring, and now I'm slowly getting back into it. Have to ever used any markers or gel pens with any of your work? I have had no luck with gel pens. Also, do you use any water brushes that you can recommend? Thank you!

Jgilmer42 I’m so glad you like the page!! Are you part of our Johanna Basford Your Pages Facebook group? Search for Bex Harris in the videos section - she’s our resident marker genius and has quite a few tutorials. She doesn’t have a you tube channel. To be honest I don’t use water brushes as I find they release too much water onto the paper and can make it warp. I use small 3/0 paint brushes xxxx
@Jgilmer426 жыл бұрын
I'm not on the FB pages because I just don't like my coloring skills...lol! Hope to improve on that then maybe I'll join. The water brushes are tricky, but I've seen some beautiful work done with them. Will you be purchasing Johanna's new book in October? Wild Flowers...I can't wait.

Jgilmer42 yes it’s pre-ordered ad I’m hoping to help her with some promotional work pre-release 😍

That would be so cool. I know she has her favorite colorists. Glad you're one of them.

Hi Claire, is there a list of the names of flowers in the book? I would have trouble identifying anything other than a rose, daffodil or sunflower, for instance. Also, may I ask from where up North are you from? I'm from Middlesbrough but now live in Taunton :)

S Gage perhaps you should try a tutorial yourself. You’d find it’s not as easy as you think. Stop and think before you criticise free help. If you’d have done your research further, you’d have known I’d remade this for this exact reason.
