Kerala monsoon & Annika’s grandparents - our Finnish Indian family

Monsoon season in Kerala is the most beautiful time of the year, and maybe in all of India, and we get to enjoy some particularly spectacular views from our house facing the Arabian Sea. So we were happy to return home from our long travels in Jaipur and Mumbai to enjoy all of this. Even though for me that meant that I also had to roll up my sleeves for a huge monsoon cleaning project to get rid of mold and fungus that had accumulated in our house during our absence. But it was very important to me to get our home and life back in order again as we welcomed my Haryanvi in-laws back to stay with us for September, to spend time with Annika, enjoy the rainy days together and watching Annika growing up way too quickly.

Been following your channel now for few years.. Watching Annika grow so fast, Is great. Her innocent voice, caring for animals, love for fellow beings, and so many other traits. I hope we can push this planet to sustain lives for at least another 200 years. People are just so greedy these days that they forget how to treat others. They attach value to things not people. Soo much to learn from childrens. And they should be taught these things at a young age.

This video made me miss my college hostel. My college is in a hilly area and I used to wake up daily with a view like one from your balcony. It is really beautiful to see green hills and trees. It is mesmerising to see sunrise and sunsets where sky is filled with beautiful colours like blue, yellow, orange, red, purple etc. I also miss the view during winter when fog around hills made it look like I was surrounded by clouds.

Well the back pain isn’t as bad anymore, but some days are worse than others. I should do quite a lot of physical therapy exercises daily, but sometimes I dont have the time or energy, especially after I recently had covid again. But overall, I’m in a much better mood and fitness daily, and there are more good days than bad 😊🙏 Happy Diwali to you too and wish you lots of light for this year! ✨
