Well, it is not a budget stay when you are staying in a luxury hotel like Taj for a month. I'll have to empty all my savings. It is not even conceivable for me. Taj is for posh individuals.

Lots of Indian and international businesses/employers send their employees to Mumbai for work and many stay in a hotel like this. I saw lots of russian people there for work, europeans, even a Finnish person! When Vinod travels for his work, he of course doesnt pay for his accommodation or food. It’s not like we can afford to stay at the Taj for a month out of our own pocket either 😅 we do pay for mine and Annika’s food and flights.

Great video Johanna. It cheered me up a lot. Sadly my mum passed away 2 weeks ago after her long battle with cancer and it was refreshing for me to see this video. So thanku soooo MUCH. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Oh my oh wow..... The view of the gateway from your room was SPECTACULAR and I loved seeing u out and about in India ❤❤❤❤❤ I see what you are saying about taking Annika to places that your enjoy but are not always child oriented. That's because my parents took me travelling round India when I was a child. There were no child centered places in sight but I ended up traveling alone in india for many years as an adult so it did rub off on me. I'm also a massive believer in child oriented activities and you nicely balanced your trip with the hotel arts. They looked like prefect activities for child development. The food looked absolutely delicious 😋 Johanna I really can not imagine the culture shock of Mumbai esp with a toddler and the sensory overload and all that noisy traffic. It would overwhelm me too much. And at times I like to go out. So yer I would find Mumbai a difficult stay for one mth esp with a toddler. But u are very positive and made the most of it. I think I would struggle and I'm still a bit uneasy about seeing India again as I'm worried about corruption and being targeted. But I guess it's about overcoming those issues and getting on with life without fear. Namaste and Blessings Kas ❤🕉️❤🕉️❤

I see this video, of course Taj Mahal palace is one of the best hotel in Mumbai and perhaps even India, kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5jFeZKjqrCCmJY at this time you are at Marine drive, there is a nice hotel just opposite, not as wonderful as Taj but very scenic location and great sunset. Also they have a roof top restaurant, excellent food. Further, you should have visited few iconic restaurants, one is Trishna, a seafood speciality restaurant, right near Jehangir art gallery, you need to be there by 7pm as there are lot of people wanting to eat there, so pre booking would be nice, second would be Pratap Lunch home which is abt 200 metres from Flora Fountain, they have excellent Seafood too, Mangalorean style with good use of coconut and spices. just my tip. cheers

Does Vinod work for the gvnmt ? If so, India must be a very rich country.
@travellingyoginikas11 ай бұрын
I have seen that Vinod has govt job. That was years ago so things might have changed. Yes there's a lot of money in India but it is still a developing country and a lot of people are lower end economic scale. I was born and raised in the UK. The UK is the 5th richest country in the world but many people in England are very poor indeed. Alot of it is to do with financial decisions. And sadly those decisions are bad as the poor get poorer.
