Regal and serine. I found experiencing this performance deeper than any meditation I have experienced. Disciplined, selfless piano wizardry showing reverence for the composer and this magnificent instrument. The production team Casio employed created an exemplary artistic promo that captures Yejin Gils' deep meditative focus, her incredible flowing performance, plus the stunning look and sound of the piano. Totally made clear that this is the piano for me going forward. I am grateful--so very grateful!

To be honest, that reverb setting sounds very close to what a Steinway sounds in a big concert hall. What settings were used to record this, I really need to know, sounds beautiful!

I try to express my questions more clearer. Does the studying on the Casio GP510 only affect the performance on the acoustic grand piano? I mean is it suitable to study and passing advanced classical music diploma exam such as the LTCL Trinity College diploma recital exam? Or do you mess up when playing the same advanced repertoire on the acoustic grand pianos that there are at the exam, as the key action is too lighter and or different than the acoustic and might make fail the exam? Also is it a problem to perform on the acoustic after performing on this Casio that doesn't have the escapement simulation? I played it recently in a showroom, I felt the action was nice and firm touch, the sound nice but at the maximum of volume a bit weak maybe. But I can't realise if it's enough suitable for passing the exam

Dear Giulia, the Casio GP510 is an exceptional instrument that provides an authentic and expressive playing experience. With its ability to emulate the sound and feel of an acoustic grand piano, it's no wonder why this instrument is highly sought after by musicians of all levels. It's important to note that while the GP510 offers a weighted key action that simulates the feel of an acoustic piano to a great extent, each instrument has its own unique characteristics. As such, it's recommended that serious candidates supplement their practice with regular sessions on acoustic grand pianos to get accustomed to their nuances. Ultimately, the suitability of any instrument for passing an exam depends on various factors, including your personal preference, familiarity with the instrument, and the level of mastery you achieve. It's always recommended to consult with your music teacher or mentor, who can guide you based on your specific requirements and goals. If you have any further questions or need additional information, feel free to reach out to us. We are here to assist you on your musical journey. 🎶

@@casiomusiceurope thanks for replying. The problem is that I can't afford an acoustic piano and I can't have regularly access to acoustic pianos for practice. If I had the access to them, I would already practicing on acoustic grand pianos. So, because you are recommending to complement the preparation for the exam with regular sessions on acoustic grand pianos, I think to understand that the studying mainly on the Casio GP510 is not enough safe to be prepared in order to pass the exam. Right? I didn't buy it yet, but I can't afford more expansive digital pianos than the Casio GP 510. So I have to find out if within my budget there are digital pianos more suitable, with a more authentic or heavier touch/key action. But maybe within my budget there are not enough suitable digital pianos or more suitable than the GP510 to be prepared to pass the exam. I'm so upset ans discouraged.. Thanks anyway for your time answering me.

@@verymozartI own a Kawai Baby Grand, this CasioGP510 and a portable Yamaha P515 and I think this CasioGP510 is very close to a grand action. I recommend it. Just wish it had Bluetooth.

@@gustavogo2915 thank you for your reply. As I tried to explain to, my issue is if it's more difficult to play advanced classical music on acoustic grand pianos, after studying it mainly on the Casio GP510. For example on the Casio 510 the repetition of notes very fast, might be easier to perform it on the Casio and more difficult to play it on the acoustic grand pianos. I wish to find that out. Because only by owning the Casio GP510, playing a lot in it, and then playing the same Repertoire on the acoustic would let me know how it is. PS how can you comparsate without Bluetooth?

Can you play any advanced classical music repertoire the same way on the acoustic grand pianos? Is the Casio G510 enough suitable to study and pass advanced classical music diploma exams such as the LTCL Trinity College diploma recital exam? My fear ia that it's too lighter and different than the acoustic grand pianos that there are ar the exam, and I could fail the exam. But I can't afford an acoustic piano nor a digital one more expensive than this Casio GP 510. No one seems able to answer me with competence and honesty in this matter. 😮

Hey Giulia, the response of every instrument and keyboard action is different. Compared to an acoustic grand piano, the quality of the GP-510 is on a level that even highly appreciated concert pianists like Katery Titova or Irene Veneziano feel very comfortable to play on it. You can take a look at their performances on our KZbin channel to see how well their piano skills work with our Grand Hybrid Instruments and how much they enjoy playing them. Professional pianists trust our instruments and they use them to rehearse regularly, especially when there is not enough nor suitable space for an acoustic grand. We believe that this fact alone qualifies the Grand Hybrid for professional use. Nevertheless, for any concert or diploma preparations, we recommend playing and rehearsing on various instruments. That way you can stay flexible regarding different hammer actions and sound aesthetics. It is also important to perform live in front of an audience as much as possible before the main diploma concert.

I have the GP-500 and you do not need to keep the lip open. There are settings for closed, partial open and full open lid. The full-open lid setting sounds exactly like having the lid physically up. I think they have the lip open so they can show the hammer action (although I didn’t notice that camera shot).
@freespeech1004 жыл бұрын
@@c3piano I own the GP400 and I definitely notice that no matter what the setting is (from lid closed to removed) , it sounds a bit brighter to my ears when that lid is physically opened, especially when it's opened all the way. Maybe it's because the GP400 model is a bit taller, so the speakers sit a few inches deeper in the cabinet..... so when the top is closed, it mellows the sound more.... not sure about that. But definitely don't NEED the lid to be open....

Better than a crappy upright, but still far from a good grand piano experience. The key weights are very good, but the keys don't 'bounce' up as they would on a real grand piano, it's more similar to upright action except more responsive when playing repeated notes. The sound is quite good for a digital output, but again far from the real thing. It does certainly beat bad uprights overall I'd say, and you could sometimes forget you're playing on a digital.
