It’s crazy running back into your channel years later looking for an explanation of this model after I stumbled across your concise communication course in 2019. That communication course has affected me in known and unknown ways and I’m really grateful for you. Back then I had just got a new job and a senior of mine always complained about people not being concise. I went to KZbin to learn how to be more concise and your playlist was the most helpful thing. Thank you!

Tomorrow is my organization behaviour exam and I think that johari model is important but I don't get any idea from notes .. thanks to your video sir .. I got it very well now I can do it easily ...

Thank you for sharing this information, Alex! I believe we can use the Johari window to collect feedback from others (the open area and the blind spot) and from ourselves (hidden facade) in order to define and to determine both our weaknesses as well as our strengths. Then, from the feedback we receive we get to reinforce our strong/positive personal traits and work on overcoming our shortcomings. it also encourages self-discovery through engaging in more new experiences and stepping out of our comfort zone. By doing so we strive for improving our relationship with ourselves and with others. (btw, though Johari was and Indian name lol). Thank you once again and stay safe!

What does Johari's window indicate in relation to emotional intelligence? A. I can learn more about myself through listening to feedback from others and through reflection B. I know myself best C. Empathy isn't something everyone has. If you don't have it it's not in your genes. D. I know all there is to know about myself, there's no more to learn. What will be answer of this sir please tell me

With all the quadrants of this model how can I determine which communication style to use?
@alexanderlyon4 жыл бұрын
It's an interesting question. I don't think the model is particularly connected with communication styles, however. You could say that when you communicate or disclose information that you're being more open but I don't know that beyond that there's a way to clearly associate the various communication styles with the boxes.

• Would you do anything different about any of these blind spots now that you know them? Why? can you answer this question please
@alexanderlyon3 жыл бұрын
I ask for feedback in a lot of ways. We can learn about ourselves by asking other people. Probably the best source of helpful feedback for me is my wife. I'm always asking for her opinion and point of view. I like learning about myself. As far as what I might do about them? Well, once I realize something about myself, I might get to work on it if it needs to be addressed. If it's not something "wrong," then I'd just have to look at what it was and go from there.
