You are so theatrical in your explanation, and I love it because it gives me the feeling and visualisation of being in the crowd. I thank God for the gift He has given you. God bless you, sir.

I will never get tired of seeing people responding to the call at the end, it always brings tears to my eyes. I am happy for them, obviously, but it is also just so encouraging to me, that people I know and love might place their faith in Jesus, that he can reach them, too.

Although the text does not tell us, it would not be unreasonable to deduce in terms of His actions and the fulfillment of the Prophecy in Jeremiah 17 that Jesus was writing their names in the sand because the text indicates that they left one by one from the oldest to the youngest. If Jesus was merely writing something which condemned them like say a verse in the OT, Jesus would not have looked up while writing, he would remain bent down while writing to complete the writing. If it was hypothetically a passage of Scripture which Jesus was writing, they would have all remained together while awaiting Jesus to complete His writing and then after reading it all left together in one single group. But because Jesus most likely was writing their undividual names in the dust, it is consistent with them waiting to see whether their name would be written down and would leave in shame once they saw their name written for everyone in the Temple Court to observe. They also no doubt would know the Scripture in Jeremiah 17 and put two and two together what Jesus was saying to them. In fact if you think about it Jesus did not only show mercy to this woman, HE also showed mercy to these Pharisees who were experts in the Law and the Prophets by subtly demonstrating to them by his actions of writing in the dust which only they would have understood and not the ordinary people in the Temple Court. Jesus could have embarrassed them but conducted an symbolic action which most probably only they understood.

Thank you for this teaching. I like the "tale of two sinners"; "sinners are not too nice to other sinners". Whenever reflecting on the law, I tell myself that I would either have been stoned or end up hypocrite. I thank God for his grace.

Galatians 3:8 “The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.”” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ God preached the good news (gospel) of Jesus Christ to Abraham. That’s how Abraham “saw it and was glad” of Jesus Christ.

Jesus, is not God the father for God cannot be tempted with evil. Neither does he tempt any man. But Jesus was tempted in all places, but yet without sin.

Why do men defend their sin? Why is it they try to maintain their connection to sin? We are free from sin, so if your still sinning your willfully sinning, or your still under law. 1 Corinthians 15:56 strength of sin is the law. That why you cant stop sinning!

Hello Skip. Great sermon as always. I enjoy all of your sermons so thank you for your wisdom. I have a question. I have been searching for the word you mention in your sermon and likely I am completely spelling it incorrectly. It was the part in your sermon where you describe Jesus writing in the sand. You reference the significant word "Cotagraphine" meaning to write an accusation against or to record an accusation about someone. I attempted to Google this word and I realize I likely am incorrectly spelling the word. Can you kindly point me in the direction where I might find it. Thanks so very much. I greatly appreciate it.

The spelling is easier to track down using the version in the subtitle function. It's the Greek word kategraphen.

At 37:16 ish, why the response to someone who has stopped sinning? Your response/attitude is not justified. Is there Scripture to support your claim? I had to stop watching.

Jeremiah 8/8 How can you say, 'We are wise and the law of Yahweh is with us?' Look, the lying pen of the scribes has certainly worked deceit. John 8/31 So to those Judahites having given credence towards him, Jesus said, 'If you remain in my word, you truly are my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.' 33 They[Judah] answered him, 'We are Abraham’s seed, and we have been in bondage to nobody at any time. How can you say that you will be made freemen? Example lying pen of Jewish scribes Jeremiah 20/4 For Yahweh says this: 'Look now, I will make you a terror to yourself, and to all your friends, and they will fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes will behold it, and I will give all Judah[Lying pen, correction Israel ] into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he[Judah] will kill them with the sword. 5 Furthermore, I will deliver all the might of this city[mysteryBabylonJudah], and all its works, and all its precious things, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah. I will give them[ Israelites] into the hand of their enemies, who will seize them as plunder, and take them[ Israelites], and carry them[ Israelites] off to Babylon. [Slaves to the Jewish banking system taxes on everything even supposedly owned property, don't pay property taxes and see if you still own it.] Judah is divorced by the way, they are not apart of Israel promise anymore and have not been for ages Jeremiah 3/7 And I said after she had done all these things, "Turn back to Me." But she did not turn back[Rebellious Israel]. And her[Israel] treacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 Although she[Judah] saw when, for all the causes by which rebellious Israel committed adultery[walking after other gods divorced gods Judah being judaized, bad company corrupts good morals 1 cor 15/33], I put her[Judah] away, and I gave her a bill of divorce, yet her[Israel's] treacherous[divorced] sister Judah did not fear, but also went and played the harlot[mother of harlots -rev 17/5] 9 And it came to pass, through the lightness of her[Judah] whoredom, that she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and stocks[False teachings and false gods, for Yahweh our Elohim is one Yahweh]. 10 And yet for all this her[Israel's] treacherous[divorced] sister Judah has not turned to Me with her[Judah] whole heart, but with falsehood,' declares Yahweh. 11 And Yahweh said to me, 'Rebellious Israel has justified herself more than treacherous[divorced] Judah. 12 Go and proclaim these words towards the north, and say "Submit, backsliding Israel," declares Yahweh. "I will not cause My anger to fall on you, for I am merciful, " declares Yahweh. "I will not remain angry throughout the eon. 13 Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have rebelled against Yahweh your Elohim, and you have scattered your ways to foreigners[of the covenant divorced Judah] under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice," ' declares Yahweh. 'Turn back, backsliding sons,' declares Yahweh. 'For I have become your husband, and I will take one of you from a city[Ephraim], and two from a family [Dan see jer.4/15 they declare Ephraim not lying pen of scribes Judah in jer.4/5], and I will bring you to Zion. 15 And I will give you shepherds in keeping with My heart[David Ephraim], who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
