I'm a Mexican fan and was proud of our victory. I was also impressed by the passion and the heart of this Irish team and their fans in these brutally hot conditions. This game has a lot of passion but both our teams wear green and I love the passion of our countries and our fans. Viva Mexico and Ireland!

I grew up in Orlando and I remember the excitement around the city that we were hosting World Cup games and that Ireland was coming to town. My family came here from Ireland in the 1800s. A lot of people both from Ireland and the many Americans of Irish descent poured into the city. It was a lot of fun. My older friend, who played for his college team was selected as a practice team to scrimmage with Ireland when they came to Orlando. They lost 10-1, but my friend scored the only goal lol 😆

Amusing, but pretty grim. There's a belief going round that the touchline ban was actually FIFA's way of getting back at Jack for criticising them on both the tackle from behind and getting water on to the pitch - not to mention their decision to hold matches in the full heat of the afternoon. I guess the minute you dare to challenge authority, even if you're right, you're asking for trouble...
