@bkdfighter You know, it's sad because I've definitely heard lots and read lots of comments from people on both sides not liking another form. Just like some people who don't like On-2 salsa if they dance On-1 or visa versa. In my opinion, the true Salsa lovers are those that appreciate all forms of it, as it takes skill to dance all of them! I learned Salsa here in the states, and just went to Ecuador for two months and took some classes, and it's definitely a different technique, but fun!
