Curtis is from Eugene, Oregon. I know because my dad went to high school with him. My dad gave him his first Shure "bullet" mic for harmonica playing!

Sure didn't give Robert Cray much acknowledgement. I remember Robert playing in Spokane once a long time ago. Robert and the band spent the day out on a lake and partied with some friends and I got to grill some stuff for Robert who was a real gentleman. That night at the gig Robert and the band showed up like regular people but Curtis had to show up in a limo and put on a bit show, big fucking deal. Robert was and still is 10 times the musician that Salgado was or is.
