John had pulled multiple classes in that tournament and Hutchings kinda surprised him..never like to see John lose but it's hard not to love how excited Todd was after taking the initial round

They also faced each other in 2006. If i remember correctly, they pulled at the 2006 Mohegan sun PAC event and John won easily. I know that Gary has footage of them pulling each other that year. Hopefully, he will someday release it on his youtube channel.

Back in these days they were pretty equal. It’s too bad these days John can do nothing to Todd.. it was evident in their super match 3 months ago and their practice pull a few weeks ago that Todd is now a level or two above John.. was hoping John could claim the East vs West 95kg or 105kg title but from the way things are looking lately and the current rankings, sadly I don’t think that will ever happen.. sasho is a compact tank and beat John easier than I expected and Todd’s level and side pressure is just too much for John these days.. I wonder if Ongarbaev will eventually be able to come back and reclaim the 105kg title from Todd?

Todd doesn't sound confident that he can do anything to John, but John wants to test all areas while also claiming that his shoulder is bothering him again and that he is finding it hard to train, so I am not overly confident that Joh will take it - not if he is going to play around, but I sorely want him to win.

Correct, they didn't want to tire each other unnecessarily. John was also way bigger for that event, like their size difference was visibly obvious
