As a amateur armwrestler I want to test myself from time to time in the competition, but even after few years of training I can be easily beaten by a guy who is just overpowered by using drugs. No one will care about it, he will just win and that's all. We all know how it feels to fight someone on juice. There should be a natural armwrestling for people like me and many other, and classic armwrestling where doping is allowed to make spectacular views. BTW, great ambience from Skyrim brother!

Exactly. So many arm wrestlers now days can only beat John because he's old. Back in the days a lot of them have to juice to the gills to beat him. Not saying John doesn't, he does, but no where near to the extend these guys were doing. Pound for Pound with no juice, prime John is the strongest.

This is the most repeated, yet ignorant take on the status of sports and drug use. Understand, drug free competitions will absolutely contain drug users. Then you have a bunch of liars competing against people that are natural. The half life on some orals is a day. It's better to accept and educate on the risk. It is being more and more accepted as people realize it can't be controlled. Embrace it OR sit there and cry, because its not going to stop. There is no glory in being natural, especially in sports where no one is claiming to be natural. Technique, training, SACRIFICE, is what it takes to be the best of the best. Sacrificing your body with PEDs is part of it. Your top 10 basketball, football, baseball, etc athlete is on gear I promise you. Accept reality.

Once the actual competitions start requiring testing, then we will see some improvements. That also means "popular" competitions that Brzenk, Levan, Devon, etc regularly participate in... they have to carry the torch to make this happen.

Good video and an important issue. I'd like there to be doping control, but I think to begin with, we need natty armwrestlers to get credit for being natty - ie. At EvW and KOTT, armwrestlers should be able to choose to be tested. That should start the ball rolling towards all round doping control. I'm still in two minds about TRT since testosterone levels don't seem to return to normal if steroids or TRT have been used. It is not really reversible after a certain period if use. So I've heard. So perhaps a phasing out is necessary.

I would LOVE to see Armwrestling ascend to the Olympics! But realistically, no matter how big the sport gets, it won't be accepted into the Olympics without drug testing. Right now the elite level of the sport is almost COMPLETELY consumed by juicers! To the point that being elite in the sport requires you to give up your longterm health to be be competitive. That isn't something that a sport like armwrestling should require! It's one of the few sports where guys can continue to compete levels above average competitors into their 70s! So it's a shame and a waste that we see so much drug abuse that guys are having health complications as early as in their 20s.. It's really just ridiculous at this point. Some passionate individuals who love the sport will also be consumed by drugs willingly to compete at the highest levels, and ruin there health as well. In a sport known for longevity the athletes are now ruining their own longevity. We may never see another John Brzenk because of this. All the giants will fall early do to health complications.

Same thing with cycling. More than 80% of the peloton is doping and now the mechanical doping to put the cherry on top. I was a huge fan of cycling back in early 2000s, bought a Trek oclv carbon 120 bicycle in blue. Also bought the livestrong band, nike socks, shoes, and all the shit that comes with. All in honor of Mr. Lance Armstrong. Then the rumors started, Oprah and all my dreams fell down. Hahahaha mannn I remember that shit almost every day. Then I realized that all of the top guys were on everything, even on blood transfusions. I was like holy shit, this thing is not real, everybody is fucking doped. Some people said, who cares, everybody's on drugs and that's fair, but I remember a cyclist who said, not everyone is on drugs, maybe 80 to 85%, and for that 10 to 15% that is clean, everybody else is a cheater.

Thing is doping control doesnt stop the doping. People will just use shorter esters that disappear from the system quicker. No high level athlete in any sport is natural because they want to win more than anything. Thats the reality. Also krasi doped like crazy in the past, if he wanted doping control so bad why would he also use drugs? Reality is hes annoyed that he cant go all in anymore and cant be on top. Highlighting two major problems with professional arm wrestling. The money isn't getting to the pullers or any regulation on doping. This will lead to more early retirements from illness and death as well as a biased selection of athletes that dope heavy and too many talented pullers, clean or otherwise left with little to no money.. so is this what we want from the sport or do we want to grow it the right way for longevity and fairness? The purses are mostly a joke.. with ever bigger match pay per views and events it has to change. Surely.
