It's funny, he's a god in his sport but doesn't make anything doing it. Jordan has a statue. I'm sure Ali does. Will Brzenk have his? Or at least an armwrestling event named after him one day. The Brzenk Classic maybe. He's bigger in eastern Europe and Russia than he is here. I can just picture a statue of the guy next to the Kremlin lol.

@@ryanforsythe8923 A lot of other country's governments made armwrestling a nationally sponsored event that was supported and recognized by the government. In North America it's always been comparably underground. As such arm wrestling in lots of places in nothern and central Europe is just a more commonly known and accepted sport, where in America being a 'professional armwrestler' is extremely unorthodox. So by percentages less people in America are going to know about and hold professional armwrestling in high regard.

2009 was a great year for the GOAT. Won his category (95kg) with both hands and won the open weight class with the right. Furthermore, as this video shows, we had the chance to see him compete with another great; Babayev, who, in this tournament, also won his category (85kg) with both hands and was in his prime.

@valhaala12 жыл бұрын

I know John is good, but I feel that Babayev don't get the respect that he deserved, don't forget that he is a middlewheight and John is a heavywheight, that says it all. But I don't know why Babayev didn't put John in a toproll, I mean in a hook is really hard to pin John, and Babayev didn't have that endurance like Devon for example... If he had endurance, he will beat John, Rustam is clearly much more explosive and much more powerful of the go than John, but he lacks endurance.

John was going to take on Rustam in his own category in 2010 (he was leaning down to Rustam's weight class to claim three PAL belts, the super heavy, heavy and middle weight), but Rustam got injured. The amazing thing about John is that he wasn't afraid of anyone or any challenge.
@ethrez7 жыл бұрын

I would say there's a difference between Todd and Rustam. Todd is really a heavy weight arm wrestler who adopts a crash diet a day before the weight ins to make it to the middle-weights. Rustam was a genuine middle-weight for a long time.
@roarodon7 жыл бұрын
Nope, I'm thinking of Todd hutchings. Todd loses close to 10 kg to compete in the WAL as a middle weight. He really is a 100kg dude in reality.

@Purdue74 voevoda was bobsliegh that year and won the bronze medal too and was out of shape he was retired from arm wrestling so if he continued and trains like hell maybe he could kill brzenk in a vendetta but if his retiring you cant tell who would win so voevoda killed brzenk in 2004 in 1 second lol adding 20 lbs on your body dont make a difference to a monster like voevoda :)
