So Breznk hooks Pushkar, then top rolls him out of the hook, then hooks him back into a press to finish. That match demonstrates exactly why he's the GOAT.

@Серёга Сижук he was still zloty tur champ in 2005. You’re making it seem like he was weak or something just because of his age. Pushkar was world class at this point already, but imo John was close to his strongest in 2006 when he beat him here.

Its in the rules that if the arm never loses contact with the elbow pad it doesnt count as a foul. I cannot recall the rule perfectly but Uncle Jon goes over it on his channel when he talks about a controversial match if you want to see

The other guy comes off the front of the pad AND the back of the pad. 11:30 - Can-opener into a press. Very cool indeed. John is a big dude! (at least this year) lots of muscle. Strange how we don't really think of him as being very big, but he's always pretty big, even though it's of course relative. His hand is big either way, though. Travis did great. He really walks that line on every start to the match lol. If the opponent wants to counter him on time, they need to take a pretty big risk with getting a foul.

This was likely the first year that John got ln TRT..and that was to compensate for natural depletion with age...He was totally natural until he was past 40 and by that time he was already widely considered the GOAT..for most of John's career, there wasn't anywhere near enough money for PEDs to even make sense... money started to become significant in the mid 2000s and roinded monsters who trained like crazy arrived on the scene..Travis says John was the reason a lot of ppl started doing roids in the first place..he developed his skills and strength at the table..by competing a lot against the best..even after the arrival of guys who were on PEDs and maniacs in the gym, John never took anabolic steroids like them.. watch him in his match against Taras..he looks as normal as he ever did.. weight training and bulking up like he did here was very rare for John cuz it didn't translate on to the table ( he said he could bench twice of where he started and the gains in arm wrestling were marginal)..watch him at tournaments in the US in 2006..2007..2008..2009 and tell me he looks like he's on steroids..he didn't..others, meanwhile, grew to damn near twice their size...
