John Maxwell, you are the MAN!! I love reading your books and listening to you, I even had the pleasure to see you, and I just want to say thank you for being a man of God, you have touched my heart in so many ways, it has enabled me to touch others. God is GREAT isn't he? You are so awesome! Keep on inspiring John, I know one day I will have the pleasure to shake your hand and tell you how incredibly awesome you are, and if it doesn't happen here on earth, it will happen in heaven. Thank you John. God Bless your heart.

A little bit everyday for a lifetime. Find your goal/purpose, identify your tools. Rule of 5 for leadership: 1. Lead myself: be your best example 2. Add value to people: help others and they'll help you; whom & how, morn & night A) value people B) know and relate to what they value C) make myself more valuable 3. Study leadership: reading, field study, 4. Practice leadership: practice gives confidence 5. Intentionally Grow: create a growth environment; where I'm continually challenged, the atmosphere is affirming, out of my comfort zone, where failure is your friend, people desire change, and growth is modeled & expected.

1:08:08 of circular, self supporting gibberish. He doesn't actually offer a detailed explanation, he just throws out catch phrases and then takes a dramatic pause. I want the 1:08:08 of my life back that I wasted on this nonsense.

This gentleman is no leader. He has nothing to offer. He is a communicator and an entertainer and communicate only Religious type information, without ever giving details of its making , At the moment I am thinking of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Edison, Henri Ford, Benjamin Franklin. Howard Hughes . They are what they are because he has something to give and not something to say. He pumps himself a lot but at the end I could not put my finger on any detail that I could pass to others. He talks in general terms, sort wake up in the morning, go to the bathroom and then read something and file it up and then prepare some written work, write, speak and listen, that is all he does, not much different from the old high priests. But people think otherwise, poor people who the words intoxicate them in to a space they think they know when they do not. He talks all the time about reading but never making anything, he had no high value product which he can see. like the people I mentioned, He has no real problem to solve. He has a set of repeated Jokes with an introduction where he praises the audience and they keeps conditioning them through telling them that they are special and so many psychology issue follow. I like the contents of the statement, "the highest point one can reach in leadership depends how good a leader you are". This is supposed to be a brilliant statement? is it not obvious. The harder you push the accelerometer in a car the faster it goes, Brilliant logic!! He keeps saying that you have to keep practising but practising what when Bill Gates will tell you what to practice and Steve Jobs will discuss a product with you. Also he enjoys self praise and it seems to me that what he presents is relative to the audience he has in front of him, like any religious pastor. He takes more out of his audience than he hand to them and that is the idea what he hands to them is a concept what he gets back is money through exploitation.

+Carmel Pule' I agree with you in many ways, but I do think he does things his way and Gates and Jobs do/did things their way. Some people benefit form one and others another. Some people are going to benefit more from reading Maxwells' books early in the mornings more than they will checking their social media on their Iphone. Leadership is pretty broad.

+Carmel Pule' He is not here to copy any of the people you named even the people you named have people who feel that they weren't so great. So if it doesn't benefit you move on.. but if YOU yourself can't or don't have your own forum why put someone else down. So many people feel everything is for everybody and that's NOT HOW life is!!!! It is a psychological approach to leadership. It is what many so called leaders miss. if it doesn't fit them then its no good no MAYBE this is not good for you since you feel there is nothing you can benefit from watching his video. BUT as someone who studies many others THERE IS A JEWEL in everything he says. But think like this Many people can't and wont be president but criticize EVERY president... Many others have found success in what he provides/teaches. He is a COMMUNICATOR not an EDUCATOR

Couldn't disagree more with what you have said about Mr Maxwell and his teachings. I have both studied and practiced what I have learned from Mr Maxwell and now have my company headed in the right direction. Changing a culture within a company to get the desired results take time, but once you are able to lead effectively while developing other leaders within the organization explosive growth begins to take place. My company often used to struggle with meeting production goals while at the same time burning the employees out due to all the overtime needed to reach the daily shipping goals. However with what I've learned from Mr Maxwell I have brought into the organization and helped improve production to the point overtime is now the rare exception rather than the rule. The result is much higher morale while the momentum just keeps going.
