i think this is the really first techno-electro-cold-wave-ebm record , and one of the best , the ambush buzzing , dystopia , pure , minimal , martial , completly underrated in the scene .

I may mistaken, but I recall that Donald Pleasance took Loomis role in Halloween because his daughter loved this score of JC.

First saw this great vintage classic on HBO in '77 when I was in high school, it rocked then and still does today. The music is an awesome New-Wave Techno-Rock. I also saw "The Warriors" in '79 at a theater when still in high school, it was also an awesome classic movie with very cool New-Wave Techno-Rock Music.

To John Carpenter: both film are intergraded from the dawn of motion pictures, when I hear a song randomly, I usually associate it with a movie! You do brilliant work!!! Hopefully you actually read this!

Thank you for doing all the work and time it took to post, not just this Assault On Precinct 13 album, but all of the music you have on your KZbin channel. Amazing collection. You even have special cover art from the albums changing as it plays and that moving video background of an LP that is actually playing is Boss. You can hear the pop when the needle comes down to start playing the LP. The picture of the guy sighting thru the scope of his weapon while riding around in the backseat is an awesome choice that brings the whole movie back. I gotta go fire up my Telefunken tube stereo which includes a record player and a reel to reel to listen to some of your other music. It was how our family listened years ago. You are a very dedicated and talented person to have done what you did to bring it for us. If not you, who? Thanks again!

you’re welcome - one of the reasons I thought of putting background pictures/video to the vinyl music was to listen/watch it on the big screen while cooking dinner, working out, etc. glad you like it - enjoy!

Various legendary musicians have shown up in my dreams, but Carpenter is the only director to ever make an appearance. Anyone else though prefer the soundtrack to the movie in this case?

@RobertLocksley3853 жыл бұрын
I bet he does, otherwise it would never have made it out of the Eighties acid clubs. Carpenter would have enjoyed someone else spreading his word as it all rebounds to him, and he's not a greedy man.

John Carpenter says himself that he is considered one of the best filmmakers of all time in Germany and other European countries but in America he's underappreciated
