@John Smith yes I watched John Carpenter 's Christine on Netflix when it was available before dead meat made the video. I have never seen the music video before in my life. And anyway, if dead meat helps you find out videos that you never seen before, it's ok, because you now have new fans of the material that love it. I wouldn't have found the music video if it wasn't for them. Don't be that person. If dead meat helps non-horror fans, find out the horror genre and they actually like it, then they're still horror fans.
@Sarahonwheels
@Sarahonwheels 4 жыл бұрын
@John Smith so? The point is that dead meat introduced a whole new generation to a movie that they never heard of. I watched John Carpenter 's Christine once on Netflix and I liked it. You want people who have never heard of it to not experience it because someone watched a review of it on KZbin. Isn't that the point of reviewing of a film? You want people to watch Christine right? Then why are you gatekeeping? It's great that people are discovering films from reviewing and recommending! I didn't figure out my love for Stephen king if I didn't watch Kubrick's version first of the shining, or Muschetti's It. Same with Coraline. It doesn't matter how they found out about it, what matters is that they love it, which means it won't be forgotten about in the future.
@Sarahonwheels
@Sarahonwheels 4 жыл бұрын
@John Smith what constitutes a fan of horror to you?
@Sarahonwheels
@Sarahonwheels 4 жыл бұрын
@John Smith well I'm sorry that we all discovered something at the same time. It's not our fault that we got reccomended something by people that we like because it seemed that we might enjoy it! Like you, we enjoy it just as much as you do! We're not fake, we're real people who were just reccomended something! Because that's what movie reviews do. They reccomended something like a person might like and watch, so that person can see it! I don't understand what the big deal is, as a horror fan, you should be happy that people are discovering horror films and stories. With any Fandom/ fanbase, there's going to be a surge of interest in what you're a fan of especially if it becomes popular for any reason That's something that you're gonna have to understand and accept. The fact that people discovered Christine should fill you with joy because now Christine will live on. She'll never be forgotten about and John Carpenter and Stephen King will live on. If you don't want new fans to discover anything, then you lose the value of the work. Movies, music and art should be shared with everyone! They were never meant to be hidden away from the world, only accessed by "true fans" If you are a fan of anything, you should be welcoming of everyone that is becoming a new fan. That's what great fandoms should be.

The multitude of advancements in special effects would seem to make a 'part 2' plausible. Add to that the fact that there's a company stamping out entire car bodies for 65 - 68 Mustangs. The same could be done with '58 Plymouth bodies.

I agree I would love to see a Christine sequel however, I've own a 58 Plymouth and they are rare and too beautiful to wreck just for a movie. They made a quasi-sequel to The Car but it was a Chrysler 300. Maybe Christine could be the same! I actually have an awesome idea.
