somehow I doubt that the implication that oversight on donations would equal 63% of the donation being used for admistrative costs. Now I have not researched this but it might be more correct to say what the actual costs of admistration are for most charities and then show what the addional cost of oversight is for a total amount. seperationg other costs such as adverstising, facities payroll etc. lastly I wouldnt give a single penny to anyone outside of my own nation. too many people here who are in need and no you should not choose to do both as that leaves the needy people in your own city under served

There are many well-known charities where such administrative/overhead costs take up 80%+ of their donations, meaning less than 20% of donated money actually reaches the cause. Costs shifting upward by 63% is not an outrageous claim - it's a VERY conservative estimate. You struggle to believe such numbers because it makes no sense to have such overhead costs... which was the point of the dialogue in the video actually. It doesn't make sense, charities shouldn't inflate their costs like that without that cost translating to superior benefit to the cause (by the dollar; we are measuring by efficient use of donation funds). But some people do not like the idea of not having tight control over donation money, and they end up inflating operation costs to the charity for no other reason than their personal discomfort.

@@adcyuumi this is why I donate directly and in person to those who need it, dont need to involve a third party.

I have not benefit from these programs , but l believe some may have. There is no employment or job for we graduates in My country , l have wasted My years in the university. most times l feel like killing myself. We have big forests and big rivers filled with animals , big fishes and crocodiles in our villages and l have begged my local govt to give Me loan to buy fishing instruments so l can be making money from it but they prefer going to the cities to do politics

Do you consider the people of your nation to have a higher moral worth than those outside it?
@talthan5 ай бұрын
@@supernukey419 I consider the people in my own Nation more deserving than those in other nations yes, let their own nations take care of them, or if it should come to pass that all the needy of America are taken care of then by all means let us help our fellow man. Its the worst sort of hypocroisty to virtue signal helping the starving of some other part of the world when people in your own city go hungry.
