Awful The guy is acting a part (obviously!) whereas John (the only Basil Fawlty) just played himself in that role (back in the day). Thankfully this is not on tv and thankfully John didn't try to remake the series as an old man. Hats off to John for the orginal series.

Holy smokes I thought this was a new thing Turns out it has been going on for years (with different actors maybe) Oh well..... Thank God though that John hasn't tried to make a new series of Fawlty Towers One of my favourite bands had a unique amazing run or explosion in and out of existence (a huge part of the joy was knowing that they would never reform---- but of course 6 years later they RELAPSE----- an ultimate embarrassment or betrayal of great Art.

Fawlty Towers was a Beautiful Artistic Youthful Moment in Life (with a great bunch of people---- most of whom are dead now). A Brave Artist would Never Tamper with that Again If his Creative Juices are flowing (and if he wants to work with his daughter)then let him not be a Coward (let him create something NEW and something ORGINAL just as Fawlty Towers was back then) Take your Head out of your Past John This is 2024 not 1974
