gets~me every time how easy he makes this SEEM...(that's the key...)...Old Roy would~have been 'chuffed'. Maybe even gob~smacked.

My favorite video of John. Wish I had been at that show. I have seen John many times over the years, and he never dissapoints. What a great singer, drummer,+ a heck of great guy as well. A killer sense of humor, just so much fun to be around. Always professional when he had to be and just a joy to be around off stage. Thanx John for the many memories, great music, the laughs,+ understanding, when things happened within the band.He thanks you too. Oh what a time it was!😀🌅💝

I love John Cowsill! Just hearing and watching John's exquisite rendition (in this video) of Roy Orbison's beautiful "Cryin'" is enough to make one commit the action of the song's title. But they would be happy tears, rendered by hearing a flawless musical performance from one master in the service of another. And I'm sure his mother, Barbara, and brothers Barry, Bill (especially) and Rick must be smiling down on their gifted son and brother. John's exceptional talents were so evident even when he was still quite a young man, in those lead vocals he sang with his family's band--his solo in "Little Drummer Boy" on "The Ed Sullivan Show," his incredible impersonation of Johnny Cash, and his terrific singing of "Silver Threads & Golden Needles." And, of course, John's drumming is also quite superb. The Beach Boys couldn't have found a better person than John Cowsill to perform with them, and his hiring must have been a shot in the arm in terms of reinvigorating interest in their original mission. On a personal note, John (if ever you should read this), were I well enough to put my garage band back together and could financially afford to do so, given Phil Spector is probably not taking on clients these days, I would consider it an honor to have you produce my band's recording session, or even just one track. But first, I would probably wish to hire you for vocal lessons, my singing never quite up to snuff and now out of commission for several years. Of course this is just a dream. But each time I hear a truly gifted and talented voice, such as yours, it makes me realize how much I miss making music and how undisciplined I was when I was still performing.

What a great job John does in this song. I am a big fan of Roy Orbison and Johnny just knocks this one out of the ball park. Watching him on the drums and singing and doing what he does best is just AWESOME and always brings a smile to my face. He definitely MESMERIZES me.
