I thank you very much for your information I have tried float but seems to dig in a lot. I will have to just manual adjustment as needed. Thanks again

Your correct, manual adjustment is all that works.

When you push and back drag do use float or down pressure?
@back40landscaping2 жыл бұрын
THe float doesn't work. For some reason it actually pushes the tractor front wheels up. It would need float on the down, and LIFT cylinder to work. After using it for a few hours its muscle memory to apply the correct amount of down pressure. If you apply to much you loose steering.

I'm looking at getting one of these next year. Probably go for the 60" as the 54" may be too small and I think the 72" is pushing it, no pun intended. We do get some big snowfalls in Ottawa. What do you use in the way of ballast, if any? or just have the backhoe on the back?
@back40landscaping3 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I agree the 60" would be a good size. I'm running the 72" and have not problems with it in wet heavy snow. The odd time the snow Is deep I just take narrower passes, although that is very rare. I am running turf tires which provide the best traction. I have chains, but have not really ever needed them. I mostly use a 3pt hitch bracket made by heavy hitch to hold 8 70lb suitcase weights. The backhoe would work, however I find it a little longer and less maneuverable in tight areas. Have fund snow plowing when you get it! Sam

Hi John, I ordered mine already through the John Deere near the Carp Turnoff by the 417 in May. They took my down payment and ordered it right away since I’d asked them to do it early. They called me that same day and said that I was smart to order ahead because of the demand for the HLA Brand, and that if I had waited until July I might have had problems getting it before the snow flies. I’m an hour and a half from Ottawa and although I use a blower the pusher will tidy the road in to our place. Good luck.

What size is your snow pusher?
@back40landscaping3 жыл бұрын
72" Thanks for watching!
@burkewl333 жыл бұрын
Do you have any power/traction issues with the 72". I see that they typically recommend a 54" for the 1025r. Thanks for the input great videos!
@back40landscaping3 жыл бұрын
@@burkewl33 I had the same questions when purchasing the 72". Everyone recommended the smaller one. I rarely have issues with power or traction pushing forward. If it's really wet, and say 6" or more you may. Steering is always a delicate balance between down pressure and steering capabilities. If its heavy snow I take shorter runs, and narrower passes.

@@burkewl33 the one other point I might make is after 300 hrs of loader and snow pushing work the loader bushings are not as tight as new... could be from the extra leverage the pusher creates, or from time in general. It's not bad, but slightly noticeable. The 72" provides zero issues with back dragging which is the best feature of the HLA snow pusher.
