Just a little advise....never run that unit at half throttle...it's meant to be wide open and its air cooled. If you run your mower at half-throttle, you will cause the engine to lug, and it will use more fuel trying to keep up. More fuel means a greater likelihood of “washing” the cylinders, where the fuel washes the lubricating oil off, creating hotspots, shortening the life of cylinders and pistons, and increasing oil use

Never heard of such a thing. I call horse hockey. Running wide open when unnecessary results in excess engine wear. More rpms means more explosions in the cylinder equals more heat. He has plenty of power for the deck size.

OK point well taken One I'm not a professional 2 I like the mow And 3 I keep my blade speed high To mulch my grass good And my traveling speed low so it doesn't get away from me. And that's my preference

@@cantstopwalkingbutlovemowing I used to drive a truck did it for 5 years. Once you get diesel in your blood it’s hard to get it out. But I found a way to get out of the truck and I have no regrets and was best decision I made. Be safe out in the road driver.
