Nice to see people restoring these older tractors, I did mine a few years ago, its the 2035 highcrop, virtually all the same other than the final drives on the rear. Personally i find the steering to be too light as you get no feel/feedback to the wheel, I'd like to see the clutch once split as I think mine is starting to get worn, its not slipping but I have very little movement between dipped and driving even though its adjusted correctly, it takes up the drive in the last couple of mm's. Looking forward to rhe rest of the restoration as its a tractor well worth it.

In your opinion do you think it can be used for tilling and other traction stuff ?

Gerry, I see a brief glimpse of a plate on which the fuel peddle pivot is mounted. My 1975/76 open station is leaking at that plate. Someone has used form-a-gasket but it is leaking. I haven't been able to find a part number for the gasket for the larger plate or the pivot plate itself. Have you had any experience with this? I will be watching your restoration with interest. Keep up the good work..

Go all the way with her Ger!!! Very few if any yards in the country would have a fully restored 2130 and 2850 working daily!!! Ya know where I am bud if ya need parts sourced ….. got Tanner bros on my doorstep if needing anything, don't hesitate!!!! Fond memories if one fresh 2130 in Ag college back in the day....used to be a scrap for her at grass or hay or harvest time....used it planting spuds etc... great all round 4 cyl machine!!!! Oh ya, STRAIGHT PIPE lawd!!!!

Michael Irwin it was a greys loader... old make loader. Was great loader. We had a quick hitch attachment put on it

Looking forward to this restoration as I had a 1630 with the Duncan Super Cab like yours. It had a loader on it and yes, the power steering was lovely and light. Especially as it took over loader work from a Nuffield 10/42 which had no power steering.

Big difference from the nutfield to the 1630. They were smashing tractor. ahead of their time these 30 series tractors. Farmers of the 70s weren’t ready for them. They were used to having tractors that they could put the same oil in the engine and backed. When these Deere’s arrived and they done the same thing with them it caused endless issues. Farmers blamed the tractor.

@@qwertyuiopi192 Ours was a Lawrence Edwards Quicke to, a 2030 if I remember correctly. You could extend the lift arms 12" which we used on the bale slave. Happy memories flooding back now

@@gerry6420 They were a revelation and yes, way ahead of their time. A neighbour had a 3130 with a basic Duncan cab, fitted to it, a 1974/5 model. We called it Concorde because of the length of the bonnet! Ha ha

Shel look great once its done does it have a cab or are u fitting a cab . They looked tidy with the duncan super cab on them . Theres a company makes cabs that look like the super cab and the narrow cab . Sure she look great with the opu cab too . Im sure ul have plaeny to do otherwise though . Im lolkin forward to seein the progress . Of her . Hope the family all gd . All the best gerry .

Yes they were rated around 75-80 horsepower. No I’m going to keep the loader off it.
