I just bought one. Has the 62 deck and bucket. It’s my first tractor. So far I like it.

My 2007 JD 2320 now has 1,250 hours and is doing well with the original driveshaft. In my case it does have stock grease zerks inside the two joints, but the front one was tough to get to. I cut a hole in tbe console plastic, as you mention, and use a needle on a long LockNLube adapter to reach the front driveshaft joint. That now takes 10 minutes, but used to be a big project. We have had two problems with seals needing to be replaced on the front end 4wd, but otherwise a great machine.

We had the same issue with our front driveshaft that broke, the tractor was only six months old at the time and John Deere came up and picked up the tractor and replaced it for free. With this tractor also you have to watch if you mow taller grass that the grass does not get wrapped around the front driveshaft. I’ve had the issue where it will actually lock up the front wheels and it would skid.

Yes, I had the same problem - should have mentioned that. I would have to get under it and cut it away with a knife. I found that when you mow with the bucket low and not in 4 WD it is less likely to wrap around the shaft.

My 2320 is nearly identical to yours - 13 years old, 62D mower deck, and Loader (no backhoe). My other attachments are all on the quick hitch on the back of mine and a custom plow on the front. Yes, the drive shaft issue is there too and I had to have Deere replace mine at about 600 hours despite them doing a complete PM service on the tractor which I argued to be JD's fault for the failure in my case . I would add that the mower deck may not be a 'must have' on this machine as while it does the job, it's better to have a zero turn to do the mowing. Also the vac option may not be the best as I've found leaf sweepers to do the job at a better savings. I do loader and plow work for a neighbor who has a 62 inch zero turn so we have a working deal for the last few years where he mows my yard and I do loader work for him which has been working out well for both of us. Nice machine, I have a 2013 2032r with some of the same implements. I have the the selective control valve in the rear and it uses British standard pioneer connectors. I believe the loader hydraulics are the same. Standard and metric o rings just will not work.

Could not have asked for a better review as I am considering purchasing this tractor used! It has the front bucket but doesn’t have the digger which I really want They are asking $1000 for it.

informative video, how expensive was it to have the rear spindle replaced?

Well it was over 10 years ago that I had it fixed and for some reason I can't find the cost in my records, but if my memory is correct, I think it was around $2,500.00 but I complained and I think Deere knocked something like $750 or $1,000.00 off so I think the total was around $1,500.00.

So for food plots and clean up, “nothing major” it’s a decent machine for that?? Cause I’m looking at one.. I can’t have to big cause I have a hundred acres in the ridges… mostly white oak. Not s lot of rocks. Just wanna clean up and keep up a smaller area where I hunt.. not the whole place.. I would have to get my father in law’s dozer and skid steer.. just wanna bush hog the road in, plant some greens and clovers.

I have been using it for brush hogging about 10+ acres once or twice a year and digging out small stumps and small trees for transplanting. It works great for small projects, but with only a 4' brush hog, the 10 or so acres is definitely maxing it out from a time perspective. I really need to get a bigger machine for those jobs - minimum a 6' brush hog and a 50-60 Hp machine. It's on my "one of these days" list.

I could write a book on what a pcs of trash john deere makes! 2014 jd 2025r has had more issues than I can count! Just found out gears in rear axle total fail, cracking housing and lots of internal damage. Bad design, crap quality castings, constant failures. Don't buy unless you love to waste money.

@@AFR_Adventures LOLZ. Paint is amazing compared to orange! Those things look 20 years old six months out! I did fix the little beast. Now, I feel like I have to baby the heck out of it! I dodge a major bullet. Only cost $800 to have dealer replace bearings and gears on the axle hub I brought in to them. I had hours of labor into taking it apart and putting back together for an item even the dealer said never should break. They said nothing could be done on count of the machine being close to 10 years old!

I have a 2305 and I think it has the same weaknesses. I’m hoping to replace the u-joints if necessary and replace the seal on the 4wd transaxle thing, as it leaks sometimes. It isn’t paid for yet as I bought it used so these weak points give me anxiety. I don’t use it as often as real hobby farmers but I’m doing a fair amount of landscaping lately around the house and the loader is very helpful. So I’d like to keep it and shore up its weak points. I never would have guessed these tractors were so delicate and potentially very expensive to repair. Overall I regret getting it. Makes me either want to not have one or get some overkill tractor that’s way stronger than necessary. Thanks!
