John Deere 317 First Startup After Engine Rebuild

Who knew the weather would turn on me like this today! That didn't stop me from starting up the Kohler KT17 Series 2 in the John Deere 317!

Thanks, I appreciate it! Yes, I will do that once the weather gets nicer and finish mounting the rest of the parts around the engine. It will last a long time now for sure.

I’m looking at buying a 420 jd are there a lot of attachments I can find it only has a 60 inch deck but it looks ok what are your thoughts

I'm not very fimiliar with an Onan engine (which the JD420 has), so I can't say anything about the mechanical side of things. The 300 &400 series John Deere garden tractors are build very well, so I think it would be a good purchase. There are multiple attachments for these machines, mower decks, rototillers, blades, loaders and I believe even a backhoe. I hope that helps. Best regards

@@hunter7476 No problem! Yes, it's nice to have a solid machine. Nowadays machines are stamped out of thin sheet metal. Some attachments are easier to find than others, I have to agree.
