Got a 52R cab this Spring. have picked up a full IBC tote with 270 gallons of water so all in guessing around 2500lbs. The lift was no prob but the curl was a struggle hanging out that far on the forks. Very impressed with it so far!

Looks like you have a lot of fire wood, but it also looks like you put some good wood in the burn pile, waste not want not. John

Agreed, unless you need the PTO power, no reason. Should be the same hydraulic pump pushing the same flow, so no difference in loader capabilities. Good show!

Hey Adam, thanks for your videos, I find them very helpful and entertaining. I recently purchased a JD 4066m heavy duty. I've been a New Holland (tc45da) guy for many years but have been noticing how many folks like their JD so I made the switch. I'm a landscaper for new construction so I do a lot of loader work and wanted to get your option about something. I consider myself to be very efficient with the loader but noticed that the JD loader doesn't move but one direction at a time. If you are raising the bucket with a load of dirt or stone and you want to also dump as you are raising you don't that ability, is this the case with your 4052R? Is this common with John Deere? With my New Holland I could be moving the tractor forward of reverse while raising and dumping all at the same time. I didn't even consider that this would not be a industry standard. Thanks for your thoughts! Michael

Hi Michael, I'm almost 95% sure that I can lift and curl my loader at the same time. I don't believe I can also open/close my grapple at the same time, but 2 functions for certain. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that yours is a M vs my R? I know the R has more functionality and creature comforts, but that one seems pretty basic. Might be worth digging to see if it is designed that way or if you have an issue. Let me know what you find!

Love your tractor, currently looking to find one like that. I can’t stand those sweet gum trees… I got them all over my property and every one of them has dead branches up high and constantly dropping. It’s dangerous and can’t trust them. I learned that after a certain age all gum trees start to die and need to be cut down.

Thanks! It has certainly been good to me. If you don't want to buy new, then check the used market on tractorhouse.com. There is a pretty good selection out there. Around here, it's ash trees. The emerald ash borer has made a mess! Good luck in your search!

Enjoy your channel Adam. I had thought I needed a 4066R, and shopped around. A year and half ago found a new 4052R Cab that was loaded up with 3rd, 4th and 5th hydraulics and all the bells and whistles on a dealer lot. I’ve got over 200 hours, have done a lot with it, and it performs great. Not sure why I would need the extra HP of the 4066.

First time tractor shopper here. Enjoyed the video! This is the exact stuff that I'm looking forward to. Curious if you can fill me in on what implements are considered "big time PTO" for the 4series. I'm the type who would rather buy once, cry once out of fear of hypothetically needing the power later on. Just wondering what is off the table by choosing 4052 over the 66. Thanks! 👍🏻

Scott, thanks for reaching out! I would classify big time pto stuff as very large rotary cutter work or maybe trying to run a big batwing mower. Check out my 4052r Playlist. I have done a lot of work with mine and really haven't needed the extra HP. Hope you get yours soon!

Getting ready to buy a 4052R. Thanks for the videos, really helps make the decision. What connection system are you using on the loader? Skid Steer? Global Connect? Or JD Hook and Pin?

Curious on what make your grapple is. I've seen Tim of "Tractor Time" obtain an Artillian, plus he's got a Bucketeer on his 1025R. That tree looks like a winter week's worth of firewood. Can't imagine how long the smaller parts would've taken a PTO chipper to go through.

How did you do the plumbing for the third function? The only kit I've seen for the 4052r is from Summit hydraulics, but you have to run it from the rear power beyond port. And which model EA grapple is this? Is it the 72" Wicked Root Grapple V 2.0?
@IndyFarmLife

See the below video which will help detail my 3rd SCV setup. Also, yes this is the 72" Wicked Root Grapple V2.0. If you click on the below link and scroll to the bottom of the page you will see one of my review videos. I hope this is helpful. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3TLiWCMhp2Mpac www.everythingattachments.com/Wicked-Root-Grapple-by-Everything-Attachments-p/eta-wrg-cmp.htm

@@IndyFarmLife Yeah, I found that video after I made the comment. Trying to decide if I'll be able to do the conversion myself. Prices of the parts have gone up to $2,453 after tax, just for the 3rd function. So hopefully I can figure out installation.

Are your back tires fluid filled? I keep considering it, but figure then it may leave ruts/tracks in the yard, so I mostly make due with the brushog or ballast box.
@IndyFarmLife
@IndyFarmLife 2 жыл бұрын
They are not. I really haven't had many ballast issues as long as I have the rotary cutter or big box blade on. Fluid in my tires would push me beyond what I should be putting on my trailer. I don't trailer it often, but I do like being able to do so when needed.
@MOJeepr
@MOJeepr 2 жыл бұрын
@@IndyFarmLife good to know, because you do a lot with yours and work it pretty hard. My trailer is good for like 10,000 lb, so I'm good there, but like I said I'm concerned about leaving ruts in the yard or when the fields are soft. But I have considered that there might be more stability with fluid-filled tires
@IndyFarmLife
@IndyFarmLife 2 жыл бұрын
Likely so, but I never feel tippy. My trailer has 2 5,500 axles, but by the time you factor in the weight of the trailer, fluid would put me close to maxing it out.

What are the specs on that loader? I'm looking at maybe getting a 4 series but I've been looking at the 4044, mainly because I'm not in need of a lot of PTO horsepower as I will only be using it to move logs around. I noticed your loader is a different model than the 400m that comes on the 4044.

The loaders on the 4000 series all lift about the same 2200 pounds it’s not about the hp difference. the log he picked up was about 1500 pounds and 500 on the grapple so definitely in the limits of the 4000 series
