Top Video. Bärenstarker Großtraktor mit hervorragendem Sound.

That not true,the 4840 was the big gestern Standard tractor of the 40series,it had 210 horsepower but was not available with the hydraulic front wheel assist.

I wonder how it would sound it the 4640 had a regular muffler

Might help if he had front end actually engaged. You can see the wheels slip in the rear but nothing up front...

And the powershift transmission in those tractors had 8 forward and 4 reverse.
@mrih15867 жыл бұрын
The Quad- range transmission was standard on the 4640. 155 hp on the pto.

We have a 4955 model and it's an animal on our 8 furrow..... Is that a 3030 on the potato harvester
@Agrifotodotnl8 жыл бұрын
+simon hamilton The 4955 is a lovely tractor as well. The tractor in the back on the Grimme harvester is a 2120. It's loading onions.

Good enough short video - but reading your Description makes me very angry! :-) 1. HFWD - what were you expecting to see to illustrate that it's (not) working? 2. You have FAR too much Front end Ballast for that implement - probably don't need any. 3. as other commenter states - 'Boy, that driver can't drive' 4. I don't think he knows how to use his Draft Control .. 5. But heh! - thanks for showing me NOT to buy a Rabe - That's no use as a Subsoiler - where is the ground / DIRT supposed to go? - would be better in a staggered or VEE Configuration to allow better soil thru' flow. huh , wot do they say? 'the greater the power / muscle : the lesser the Brain! - but the photography's fine - thanks

Actually a straight ripper like that is best, May not pull the best but it breaks the compaction layers all they way not just cracking them
@thijsvael18504 жыл бұрын
@culmalachie This kind of soil ripper is used very often in the Netherlands because it lifts your ground and then it drops it back on the ground so the farmers keep soil layers intact. And they lift it up because then al the compacted ground is broken and you keep a flat seedbed to seed the green manure crop.
@culmalachie4 жыл бұрын
@@thijsvael1850 Mann, this is an old jewel: thanks for your reply: but can I take you to task on what you write: I understand the part about keeping layers in tact, BUT ( think about it) WHERE is the soil supposed to go when compacted and ripped at that depth? you are basically squeezing the soil between the ripper shanks / Blades - wasteful of power. Also nobody has commented on my comments on the HFWD etc etc... and guy STILL Can't drive! jerking fwds and backwds. One uses the throttle to allow "gentle gear changes" feathering in the drive take-up. as for the HFWD - it IS working - to carry all that stupid / uselss Front end weight. Indeed the tractor would have worked better as a 2WD with / without DUALS + ADD those weights to be carried on the Ripper frame ( Ballast for traction) - wha do you think?
@marc-ty6mn2 жыл бұрын
The subsoiler brings the ground up instead of squeezing it. With a penetrometer You can see the difference a lot. In my opinion You have to keep the tractor flat on the surface in order to get most grip. Although ive never used a tractor without fwd While using that kind of machinery
@culmalachie2 жыл бұрын
@@marc-ty6mn I'm still here! 'keeping the tractor FLAT on the surface' ...... then you ain't pulling very much. study the physics / mechanics of Pulling and torque and while your here, HFWD is not exactly considered to be fwd...... or what do you mean by 'fwd' - Front wheel drive ?

That 2120 is doing well on the harvester if it's a variant
@Agrifotodotnl7 жыл бұрын
It is a Variant 1700. Known as DL on the continent.
@ginalynhanratty33427 жыл бұрын
Agrifoto thought that's what it was .worked 1 on a 2850 and a 6400 for years and it could give those 2 tractors a serious workout with ground drive engaged . T at a good 2120. Like the video would love to see 2120 working closer someday
