Broken connecting rods, Mercury Marine uses them so their is no machined line so their roller bearings don't stick and jump creating wear patterns. the process is to machine the rod end round then create a weakend spot for them to fracture the cap off after freezing the rod

These are stamped Hatz Germany. Pistons are by Mahle. Guessing remanned once already, although I can't be sure if it.

@@MichaelJBerg Hatz and Mahle are both OEM suppliers of engine parts, they could have been installed at the factory or sold by a dealer as genuine Deere parts. If you think the rods have been reconditioned you need to mic the big end OD it will be oversized because with the fractured rod and cap they can not be resized back to standard size. you will need rod bearings that are oversized OD and ID to fit the crank journals
