John Deere 7930 & 6215R w. Lemken Juwel 8 | Winter ploughing in snow | WUR Open Teelten - Lelystad

Last week you saw the Fendt 820 Vario with CupWheels, but actually there were 2 more outfits running on the same farm at that time. A John Deere 7930 and John Deere 6215R. De first ploughing with a 5f Lemken Juwel 8 ON Isobus and the latter with the same model, only with an extra furrow added. The 6R also has a Votex flail mower on the front for slashing down a cover crop.

I used to plough in pheasant cover crops, possibly 4 to 5 feet high, I had a 4m Kuhn topper on the front and a 5 furrow Kuhn plough behind, plough was set to 16in width and 12in deep, my tractor was a chipped up John Deere 6920 auto box, motor was bumped up from 140hp to 155hp & it needed every one of the extra horses.

Cool video. I noticed a cutter on the front linkage of the tractor. I wonder if it has any effect? Or is your technology in crop production so developed?

I don't think you can make work mulching and in-furrow plowing work as can be seen here, you have to plow onland so the mulcher is parallel to the ground

It does work, if you put you linkage in float it wil run flat on the ground. Some mowers have a hinge system as wel!

yes, you are right. In Russia we try to plow without mulching. However, we switched to deep loosening.
