In this video Big Tractor Power is out in the field with 460 hp JOHN DEERE 9460R tractors and KINZE 1100 Grain Cart hauling corn. This video shares the sights and sounds of corn harvest in Western Kentucky. Watch this triple tire tractor move the harvest along unloading on the go with two 473 hp 400 bu. We love our Kinze grain carts. We run a 1300 and a 1305 both on tracks. Been running Kinze for over 20 years. Awesome video Jason. Two thumbs up👍👍

The scale has really grown. My first combine ride was on a 70 bu combine in oats. These new machines move more grain in an hour than combines did in a day 50 years ago.

One thing to watch when operating such wide machinery - at 4:17 the combine dips and the auger is getting pretty close to the cart!

Does it ride any better with triples on? I remember the IH 986 riding rougher after we had to adjust all of the tires inward for narrower corn rows.

I think from my observations over the years triples ride quite smooth. They are the same width as metric duals have far less power hop especially in tillage.

I’m wondering if those are low sidewall tires? I remember on my family’s farm driving the IH 3388 down the road and the tires would make the tractor go up and down,,,, kinda like tire hop.

Why make the big sweeping turn when switching combines ? Couldn’t the tractor driver stop and slide over

To turn a grain cart on tracks you need to make a 120ft turn or the tracks will wear out fast exposing wires and cables on them.

I have not come across a quad tire set up. 4 tires might get a bit wide for road travel.

Some tractors have been used here in Ireland when harvesting Peat from Peat Bogs with Quads, usually Fiat, Zetor or more currently New Holland, what you would call Front Wheel Assist tractors in US. These tractors will drive over a bog where a person walking would sink up to their knees. One problem is when turning as the front outer wheels will hit the back wheels!

Tbh the tractor looks good but I just got through running one that is a 2010 model and it didn't have the weight it needed to put its power to the ground. Otherwise they are a great tractor.
