John Deere 9RX 830 field demo with JD 2730 Combination Ripper at Farm Progress Show 2024

The John Deere 9RX 830 was showcased in the tillage field demo af Farm Progress Show 2024. The John Deere 9RX has a 26-foot wide JD 2730 Combination Ripper on the back. The John Deere 9RX 830 is the world's biggest production tractor with 830 rated HP and peak power up to 913 HP. The tractor is powered by the JD18 engine that features a 18 liter inline engine. The new 9RX line features also a John Deere 9RX 710 and a John Deere 9RX 770. The 9RX runs solely on diesel fuel, which means no more DEF. This done by utilizing EGR technology to meet Final Tier 4 and Stage 5 emission standards.

I'm amazed that JD managed to cram all that capability into a formfactor that is still legal on our relatively small european roads. I thought those big articulated tractors like the 9RX or Quadtrac weren't going to become much more capable, but that is a huge leap in performance. I'm sure there are some customers who would love a 9RX 830, probably in France or easterm europe on the big fields, but with a little luck I'll see one on the fields here in Germany as well!

I am from Germany. I agree. Absolutly incredible. 900 HP and only 3m. There are some 9RX640, 9620RX and Quadtrac 620 in eastern germany. Cultivating with Horsch Tiger 8As, Horsch Fortis 9As, Horsch Terrano 12Fm, Köckerling Vector 9m. How would it bee with 900 HP? 😊 To much power for that cultivators? I hope so much to see this big 9RX in the future in big fields in eastern germany. A 710 would be great, a 770 ❤, and a 830 of course ❤❤❤

It's good to finally see one of these beasts in action. All we've had so far, is people walking around a stationary machine. Gotra admit though, it sure looks like a pretty potent piece of kit. Given the horsepower rating of the tractor, that tillage implement looks like it could be doing with being twice the width of that in the video.

Awesome video! Seeing one in person, how does it compare to the 9RX640? We know it is obviously bigger and has more power, but can you see a significant difference in the size of these tractors when seeing them in person? Thank you!

Best video so far of the 9rx 18L class of tractors. Ever since they came out with this line of tractors, I immediately thought of the 2730 13 shank ripper. Looks like it pulls it pretty easy. Do you know how deep he was going? 16 inches is max depth. Now the question is, do they come out with a 15 shank for the 830?
