Thanks for this video. My X485 deck lift wouldn't operate. Turns out where I got it had valve closed. Works great now.

Great video, thank you for actually showing the function, not just talking about it. One question though, If you were to have something on the rear 3pt for weight, and a quick hitch and blade up front, could you use the lockout to keep the 3pt up and supporting that weight while the blade is in use? or would it lower, and just not go back up. I'm kinda confused on that one...

If you have weight on the three point and don’t need the three point, you can raise the three point up, then use both the lock out valve and the depth control rod on the three point to lock it up in the air.

Where did you get the fork attachment? Very cool - is it a easy install on the 45 loader?

Have x748, install shut off like yours shown. Once installed it leaking when moving lever, any suggestions?

But let’s say you just wanted to operate a snowblower or plow and you take the deck off (obviously), do you need the divergent valve still?

You don't need one, but it will make the functions much faster. See the relies to Kent Wood.

I have an X720 John Deere - I only have 60" deck and quick hitch with snow plow - can you please tell me when I detach the mower deck and hitch up the snow plow - do I open or close the hydraulic diverter valve? (clockwise or counter clockwise)

When you take off the mower deck you want to close the valve. The valve allows fluid to the rear lift cylinder. When you have the blade on, you do not want the deck lift going up and down. It should be clockwise to turn it off.

Guys I have a 455 that's been away for 3 years. I took it out runs great. My hydraulic levers both of them are frozen. The deck is down. I can't move the levers. I sprayed wd 40 on the levers. I think I have to go under tractor and find linkage. I didn't see anything. Any advise? Thank u

When the valve sticks like that the best thing to do is keep soaking them and tap them lightly with a hammer. If you take the linkages off you might be able to move them with a pry bar.

I'm with Wheeler459. I don'r have a 3pt or a diverter on my x748. Would a diverter make my front blade work faster? I enjoy your videos. Kent from PEI

Yes it would. The angling function of your blade would work more quickly. Even without a 3pt or with the deck off, that actuator still moves. Closing the diverter valve stops the flow to that actuator thus your angling cylinder will operate more quickly.

Dewitt Zeliff is correct. The diverter valve installed will make your front functions work much faster. Your blade will also stay at an angle better when plowing snow with the diverter installed.

Have you added a 3rd function to a X series? I have X585 with a 45 loader and 3 point hitch.

Is a pressure relief valve needed on the new x700’s if using a loader or does it already have one?

You will need the loader valve on any X700 series. The valves do not come standard with the machines. There are/were a couple different ways to order them I would have to look up the parts numbers to be sure.

@@mmrbeef I saw some part numbers listed on a forum: “BW15044 $150 to $170.00 is the Part Number lowest cost for the Valve If You go with the numbers that supersede it the Price Goes Up AM122228 is about $220 or MIA884868 is about $1,000 plus all for the same Valve with different Deere part numbers” Those look correct? Those seem to list like the x748 but the x758 is not listed. Would it be the same in both models?

Do they still make the 45 loader for new x series machine

Sadly they do not. When they moved to the current X7-- in 2013 the 45 loader was no longer an option to add to the machine and there are no provisions on the frame for the loader. CTC does still make a loader for the current X series. As far as I know the last few in stock 45 loaders were sold in 2014 or so.
